I wanted a simple solution to run headless. Not especially versed in Linux, and was especially afraid to disable monitor output with ssh commands. I tried another DP dummy plug that looked like it was probably from the same factory - that one was not recognized by the carrier board on the developer kit. Plugged this one in and it works right away (NoMachine on JetPack6.2). Sigh of relief.

This has been tremendously useful for my laptop dock. Normally my remote control to my laptop is limited to a very small display resolution but now I have a high resolution virtual monitor when I remote into it. It is completely plug and play and completely compatible with my Dell. The large screen has been very valuable to me. Excellent quality!

I have a HP mini desktop I’m using as part of a AIS radio receiver. Since the receiver is located at the receiving antenna, I needed a Remote Desktop solution for monitoring the station. Remote Desktop and Google Remote both want to extend a physical monitor, but I don’t have one due to the need to fit my entire receiving station in a small plastic toolbox. This dongle simulates a physical monitor with the ability to pick from many screen resolutions. Problem solved perfectly at low cost, low power use and especially cool…near zero space used. I would highly recommend this as a stable and reliable way to simulate a monitor on a headless workstation. A good value for the price.

This solved the issue of my headless HP EliteDesk 800 G4 not booting. Good price, well worth it.

I use these on various pc's to keep the display alive so I can remote in to the workstations. They work great for keeping the screen alive. I've also found them useful for media servers when you want to use the gpu for transcoding or other reasons. It keeps the gpu active so that it can be used by applications.

It's a dummy plug for a display port output on a video card so it thinks a monitor is attached. This is very important for headless servers with consumer GPUs, as many will disable their acceleration features if there is no monitor plugged in. I'm using this on a headless UnRAID server so my GPU will work correctly in Plex. The Good: - Simple to use. Just plug in. - No drivers. - Enables GPU acceleration on cards that disable it without a monitor. The Bad: - None

The description was fairly vague on specific resolutions supported, so I took a chance and was disappointed. I was looking for 1920x1200 (16:10 aspect) but it is not supported. I panicked but found a few other 16:10 settings I could live with. This product is a nice solution to a problem which should not exist. This particular model seems a bit limited in its capabilities for many, especially the low frame rates, which may trip up some applications. If I could do it again, I'd keep looking.

Works perfectly, good for my server what bearly used on the tv so I still can connect with remote desktop, for me the full HD enough to see if its need just to remote access good through to gaming no 4k just 17hz, works with my Debian server plug and play.

bonjour, fait le travail et simule le branchement d'un écran. Parsec a une fonction similaire logicielle mais qui marche aléatoirement surtout au retour de mise a jour de windows. Avec ce dispositif de branché derrière sur la carte graphique, plus de souci, même en cas de redémarrage, la connexion se refait sans souci.

Per il lavoro che deve svolgere il prezzo è quello giusto e funziona perfettamente senza intoppi. Io lo uso per giocare in streaming senza dover accendere il monitor. Con CRU utility ho anche potuto aggiungere 120hz per sfruttare i 120fps in streaming.
