Stiletto TB15MC Claw Hammer

I bought this after watching all of my coworkers using these for around two years now. I know you get what you pay for but I didn't want to be the guinea pig. The price is quite salty, but it's worth it! We erect scaffold (cuplock) every day. That entails striking metal all day every day. Hard on the elbow when using steel hammers! So with some Christmas $$ I decided it was time. I've been using this hammer for a month now and it is very forgiving on my aging elbow! The only thing that annoys me is that the head and bolt rotate. This misaligns the magnetic nail start channel. I even used loctite and it still moves. Not a huge deal since I set nails the traditional way, but still a little annoying. All in all, I will buy again if this one ever wears out. I don't see that happening anytime soon though. The hammer feels indestructible.

Super light love how it handles

This was a gift to my husband for Christmas. It was something he would never have purchased for himself but now prizes. He has told me a many ways that makes it superior to an ordinary hammer; the weight balance, the nail holder, shock reduction. He is remodeling our kitchen with more pep in his work!

I am a contractor. Got this hammer in the mail today at 1 pm. I used it for 5 or 6 hours. By the end of the very FIRST HALF DAY of use the milled face is almost completely smooth and where the over molded handle meets the titanium it has already peeled or rolled back 1/4" from taking it in and out of my occi tool bags. This leads me to believe in a week or two of heavy use I'll have a titanium handle with no remaining rubber handle. My rating doesn't have to do with effectiveness as a striking tool, it's light and it can drive nails. But for $170 dollars they can't temper the waffle face to last more than 6 hours or make a handle that will hold up? To sum it up: 1. spend $170 for a Tibone 2. Fix the handle on your brand new hammer before you use it 3. Don't forget about that monthly cost of $35 for a new milled face.I got a physics degree in college. I fully understand why a titanium hammer makes sense. I think it is a good idea. I'm relatively young and like the idea of not having a bad elbow/back from heavy tools in my bags day in and day out. But the execution on Stiletto's part I think was embarrassing.Right now I'm wishing I could return this P.O.S.

Much cheaper online than any store.I swing a hammer all day at work driving nails. This thing reduces the vibrations you normally get and after one day of use you will never go back. I know it's a ridiculous about for a hammer but it is well worth it. It has a long handle that can get annoying in your belt loop. As a framing contactor my hammer is a tool that I not only need but Is essential to my day in and day out tasks. This makes hand banging rafters even more pleasant. I use to have a stiletto musclehead and that was great but I was always worried about snapping the head but this I have no worries. The side pull nailer really comes in handy also, me and my crew call it the can opener. Its light and has really nice anti vibration properties. sinks 10 penny nails in 2 shots consistently. as a word of caution check the head to make sure it hasn't loosened up on you.

Nice hammer. Seems to be pretty durable and a little lighter than my old heavy framer. Really like the nail puller on the side. Personally don’t think it’s worth $200 though.
