Intermediate Accounting DeMYSTiFieD

Item arrived as described. I love it.

I bought this book to supplement the Intermediate Accounting II course I am currently taking. I've had some really positive experience with other DeMystified books (like Business Calculus), which is why I chose it. This book does explain things much better than my professor, but it does not go into depth at all. I was hoping it would cover/explain the COMPLICATED stuff, but it does not.If you are looking for something VERY basic regarding IA topics, this book will work. Otherwise, look for something else that covers all the conditions, special situations, etc. that are actually discussed in class and in the textbooks - and most importantly, on the exams.

Pointless. Didn't help at all. Went over things that are easy to comprehend and doesn't even touch on those items that may be difficult to get. Not worth the money.

Its a general book, what else do you expect? If you want more, use a Schaum. This gives you a general overview, which is what these "For Dummies" books are for. If you are taking class, get the Schuam Intermediate Accounting. You want an quick overview, this book works fine.

This book is a great supplemental aid for the students who don't feel like thumbing through a 1000+ page accounting textbook for a general question. It's very manageable for a quick review before a quiz or exam and it also helped me ace my final this past semester. It's not a textbook replacement, but it is a very good supplemental aid.

Good book

Book is very inclusive of all accounting terminology. Although the chapters read is very casual, the quizzes require you to translate casual to actual.
