Cheap and cheerful
Setup was quick and painless, plugged it in and it just worked with the TP-Link app walking me through everything. For the price, getting Wi-Fi 7 and two 2.5Gbps ports feels like a steal, and speeds close to the router are genuinely fast. It’s replaced my old router nicely for streaming and everyday browsing. The one thing I’d flag is the range - it’s strong in the same room but drops off noticeably once you’re upstairs or through a couple of walls, so it might not be the best fit for a bigger house. The plastic casing also feels a bit cheap for what it is. Still, for the price, it does what I need it to do. Would recommend if you’re after Wi-Fi 7 on a budget rather than top-tier coverage.

Excellent Wi-Fi signal compared to virgin Hub 3
After having constant Wi-Fi disconnection issues with my virgin media hub 3. I’ve decided to purchase the Tp-link BE3600 router after reading the reviews as I already had a couple of tp-link RE5500 wifi extenders which I’ve been using to resolve my dead spot Wi-Fi issues. I ended up putting my virgin hub3 into modem mode & used the BE3600 as my main router now which was very simple to set up and once connected all my Wi-Fi issues were resolved and I was getting good signal where previously had dead spots. I run about 26-30 devices connected to Wi-Fi which no longer have connection issues. As the tp-link Wi-Fi extenders have easymesh and the BE3600 router has easymesh technology now I’m using the 2 Wi-Fi extenders in easymesh mode so I have a full mesh network so it’s a win win.Honestly I highly recommend this router as it’s great value at £75 especially if you are having Wi-Fi signal issues with your virgin hub3 obviously can’t comment on any of the other virgin hubs. Also the app is great & simple to use and you can select which device is get priority over others and also create guest networks and has many other features.

Fantastic router
Fantastic router with great coverage and speed. I have a 3 storey semi-detached house and this router covers all 3 floors and I get the full 500mbps speed of my broadband across all floors. The router was easy to use and as a power user I was pleased I could configure it to the way I want my network to work including defining my own DNS servers, configuring the PPPoE so I did not need to use the ISP provided router to establish the internet conversion. The parental controls are basic but really good, you have to pay to unlock more advanced controls but out of the box you can set a schedule for each of your children's devices and prevent them from accessing content you feel is not appropriate. I have a mix of old and new Wi-fi devices and the compatibility has been fine, I also like there is a separate IoT network to isolate devices. Highly recommend as a replacement, especially if you use fibre broadband.

Decent router for the price
This is a good router overall, but there are a couple of things that made it feel like a slight downgrade from my previous TP-Link.Setup was straightforward enough and it works well in general use. Speeds seem good, and once connected it has been reliable, so I have no real complaints there.Coverage is decent, but distance-wise my previous TP-Link router was slightly better. It is not bad at all, but I did notice the difference in certain areas of the house. The app is good and has some really useful features. The main issue for me is the wall mounting design. The holes on the back only seem to allow it to hang one way, which means you can end up with the wires coming from the top. My previous TP-Link could be hung in different directions, so I could have the cables coming neatly from the bottom.I got around it by hanging this one sideways, but it still feels like an odd design choice and not quite as neat as I would have liked.Overall, it is a good router and does the job well, but the slightly weaker coverage and less flexible wall mounting make it more of a 4 star item for me.

Excellent router but disable QoS service to get the full 1.6GBs download!
Excellent router for the price especially as we had it on offer at half price. Lots of features including a dedicated IoT WiFi option and we are getting the full 1.6GBs download on full fibre with Openreach over LAN. WiFi is around 1.3GBs. An important heads up though to get to this speed as we couldn't work out initially why the speed tests were limited to 940Mbs. Hidden deep within the router settings the QoS - Quality of Service option by default restricts download to 1GBs! Once disabled we were then able to get full download speeds. Not sure why other customers had issues and 1 star ratings. We didnt find it difficult to setup or had any issues but we do have a background in Computing but not rocket science :-)

WPA3 + 5 GHz DHCP Failure on macOS – Wi-Fi 7 Firmware Not Production-Ready
I’m experiencing a repeatable firmware fault on the TP-Link Archer BE3600 when using WPA3 on the 5 GHz band with macOS.The IssueOn an Apple Silicon MacBook Pro (latest macOS):The router associates successfully on 5 GHzSignal strength is excellent802.11ax negotiates correctlyBut the router fails to issue a DHCP leasemacOS self-assigns a 169.254.x.x IPResult: “No Internet Connection” despite being connected to Wi-FiSwitching 5 GHz security from WPA3-Personal to WPA2/WPA3 Mixed instantly restores normal operation, confirming this is a firmware-level WPA3 + DHCP bug.2.4 GHz works normally.iOS devices also connect on 5 GHz without issue.Only macOS fails under WPA3-only.Additional ProblemWith Smart Connect enabled, the router consistently pushes the Mac onto 2.4 GHz despite excellent 5 GHz signal, causing a major performance drop until SSIDs are manually separated.ConclusionHardware RF performance is fine, but the firmware is not stable enough for real-world mixed clients under WPA3. I’ve logged the issue with TP-Link support and supplied diagnostic evidence.Until a firmware fix is released, this router cannot reliably deliver WPA3 + 5 GHz on macOS, which is a core expectation for a modern Wi-Fi 7 device.

Great router, worth every penny, easy to install and gives good speeds too.
I bought this to replace the L:inksys router that comes from Toob when they install. I have never been a fan of Linksys and it had trouble projecting a WiFi signal more than20 yards in my bunglaow - OK, thick walls but even so!I decided to try this TP-Link Archer BE3600 Dual Band Router WiFi 7 BE3600Mbps WiFi router and am really pleased that I did. Firstly, the set up was really easy - I connected it to my laptop by ethernet cable to setup and recreated the SSIDs and other functions. Once done, I replaced the Linksys with this one and straight away it detected the internet and sent the signal to the other side of the bungalow.I had to reset all the access points to obtain new IP addresses but not a major problem and everything (including all mobile devices) connected to the router OK. Speeds were excellent too so streaming and gaming work brilliantly but bear in mind these devices are hard wired.I'm really glad I got this device - worth every penny.

Really good router with high speed and range compared to typical routers
The speed from this router is unreal, I have the typical router that the broadband provider sends but that one doesnt reach everywhere whereas this one has really good range and the speed is much more than the router that was sent by the broadband provider. It is a bit expensive but totally worth it and its cheaper than the BE800. Also super easy to set up.

Reliable router with great performance
I've been using this router for about 3 months now, and it's been working really well. The Wi-Fi speed has been consistent, and I haven't experienced any lag or random disconnections during daily use.The hardware feels solid, and the software is easy to use with plenty of useful features and settings to customize the network. The signal strength has also been good throughout my home.Overall, I'm very happy with this router. It offers stable performance, good coverage, and plenty of features, making it a great choice for home use.
