Quality Boxes, Sturdy
Strong sturdy boxes. Well made and effective.

Took awhile to work but very effective
With having a chicken coop in our backyard for several years, we’ve seen an increase in rats after the sun goes down. I’d go out to the coop at night to close the door and they would scatter like crazy. I live in an older neighborhood with well established plants everywhere so I know there are a ton of rats in the area. Bought these and paired with some rat bait. Put a few of these around the chicken coop, A/C unit, and front of the house by my cars. After sitting out there for about two weeks, I thought there were useless. Went on vacation for a week and suddenly started getting messages from someone watching our house that they kept finding dead rats all over my property. Ten dead rats within a week. If rats are anything like gophers, they may be able to smell human scent on the cases. I didn’t wear gloves when putting these out but I’m sure the rats smelled my scent. After that wore off, they started going in and eating the poison. These worked very well for what I had going on at my house. The important thing with these cases are to put them exactly where you know the rats are going. Put one or two sticks of poison in them and leave them alone. Once the lid is shut, they secure very well. So much cheaper than hiring an exterminator. These will last for many years and rid you of your rat problem. Just be patient and wear gloves!

Good DIY product that can replace professional exterminator bills
Two Year update: These stations have been working great for two years now. The only slight downside is that a few of the metal pins to hold the bait have disappeared, so we use a small piece of a coat hanger to replace. (There are two in each bait box). After years of paying $750+ per year to have mouse control done by exterminator, I decided to do some research and concluded that with a couple hours per year, I could get the same result for a fraction of the price and without managing another service provider at my house. I combined them with bait from "JT Eaton 709-PN Bait Block Rodenticide Anticoagulant Bait, Peanut Butter Flavor, Green" (also purchased on Amazon). Three of my six Bait Stations were completely empty at ~ 4 weeks so I know they're working. Instructions are a little confusing, but the process was simple: I loaded two bait squares on each of two metal rods and placed the rods horizontally in each bait station (the can also stack, but easier for me to poke the metal rods through and rest the rods horizontally in the station grooves). Mice and rats are territorial so if the bait is being eaten, these are doing there job! Unfortunately, the kit only includes one key, so make sure not to lose it, otherwise it's a $15 replacement.

Use any form of bait!
I liked this bait box! The flexibility to use cubes or pellets or the 'sausages' that I am currently trying out is wonderful. Haven't tried putting a snap trap in yet. I am watching to see if the box is weather tight. My previous bait boxes filled with water at each rain and the baits dissolved away. Only problem I have is the key. It is VERY hard to release the lid and only one key comes with the box. In future I hope they offer this size also in the black. The sausage baits that I am testing, are 'birth control' not death and a black or green&black companion box for actual poison would be nice.

Pricey but reliable! No more need for sleep-disturbing alternative trapping methods.
Worth every penny. Very safe. Even I can't (non-destructively) open this thing without its proper key. Deployed 24/7/365 on a peripheral wall, not near my house; with the help of some custom woodwork that disallows falling. Incessant nocturnal opossums don't knock this down, and step right over it after they "eventually" learn it's impenetrable. Squirrels (daytime) trot over it, and never enter; my excellent camera surveillance says so. After a couple years... When I lost my key (thick plastic) I was able to buy replacements through Amazon. This bait house allows me to sleep while rats take the bait. No more need for snap traps, which I must deploy at dusk and retrieve before dawn (so as to not harm birds and squirrels).

Good quality but large
This product is sturdy and appears well-made, requiring a key to open, so it would be fairly safe to use with pets or small children in the house (I bought it because it's relatively heavy and made of thick plastic, and I have a young Labrador Retriever who regards anything she can get her mouth around as a play toy). However, I don't recall seeing any dimensions in the product description, but it's much larger than I expected - approximately 10"x12" - much too big to tuck away in a corner or behind a washing machine. The description advertises that it can be used for rats or mice; thankfully we don't have rats, but mice could have a rave inside this contraption. If it were smaller, I'd keep it because of the apparent quality of construction, but it's too large for my purposes, and it's going back today.

No more mice
I live in a rural area of upstate New York with forest and Fields surrounding my house. House is less than 2 years old and I had mice getting into my basement I was consistently catching them with snap traps. I placed the bait boxes in service in March 2024 in various locations around my home. I have refilled them over the summer with fresh baits they are definitely controlling the mouse population I have not caught a mouse inside of my house since April 2024 I have refilled the bait stations twice I just checked them today August 30th 2024 and the Baits have been partially eaten but not as much as the first inspection going to refill them again with fresh baits because winter is coming I would highly recommend this purchase if you have it rodent problem.

Exterminators Choice - 6 Pack Rat Bait Station Boxes with 1 Key
My son has a mouse problem at his neighborhood. Purchased these to tackle this problem. There are a lot of these type of traps out there, but these were very heavy. The only thing I did was to drill holes and attach some concrete bases to them using plastic anchors, so they don't move in our West Texas winds, or their dogs turn them over just being curious. Quality traps, easy to open and service. (Only thing I wish was different, is that the 6 traps only came with one key. Had to purchase extra keys, in case one was lost or misplaced.) After several months, the mouse problem is under control!

Es un engaño el material con el que está construido!
Las características señalan que la caja es de metal y resulta de plástico, están perdiendo seriedad o los chinos los están sorprendiendo a ustedes y no confirman la calidad.

Key and lock works despite other reviews
Just purchased two. The “trick” with the key is that you need to press down firmly into the slot then twist. It won’t open without pressing down firmly. If you loose the key of course a wide flat screw driver will work of course.

Works as intended.
Why pay for the pest controller… throw on some latex gloves and just do it yourself.
