Peak Design 15 L Everyday Tote V2

Like many photographers, I am always in search of the perfect camera bag, so much so that I have over 20 bags, backpacks, slings... In search of a smaller over-the-shoulder bag for my two Leica's and a few lenses, I kept coming across the Peak Design Everyday Tote. I originally disregarded it as many of the marketing images are of the beautiful white/cream version, which seemed very feminine to me (and they mostly used female models to back that up). After I kept coming back to this bag I found that they had a black version, which unlike the white (which is incredibly elegant), looks more like an 'everyday tote' rather than a camera bag or fancy large purse. Having received it and travel with it many times, I can say that it is near-perfect. I use it when I carry two Leica's - either two M10 (Monochrom or R) with multiple lenses, or one M10 with multiple lenses and my Q3. For these cameras I find this bag to be pretty much ideal. There are some changes I would make such as additional and deeper pockets on the outside and perhaps some sort of backpack straps (which I did not want in the first place, although for longer days I would like to take the weight off one shoulder or the other. The outside removable straps, which I thought I would not use, have been incredibly useful on many occasions when the day gets hot and I take off my jacket or pullover. This bag is so well-designed that it is by far my favorite camera bag, although depending on the needs of the day, I may switch to any other of my 20 bags as this is not ideal for all occasions or larger systems (such as my Fuji GFX system).

Great concept, materials and workmanship. Perhaps if I were a photographer, but for travel personal item or EDC, just didn't hit the mark for me. Too rigid, especially when there's a laptop in the sleeve. Magnetic closures on front and back flap are great, but the mags in the main closure, combined with the firm materials in the lip make it impossible for this bag to stay open when loading. 13" Macbook air, two Aer slim pouches and a water bottle pretty much take up the entire main space, and the firmness of the sides, make accessing the front and back pockets tough for anything thicker than Airpod cases or a cell phone. I also have an Aer Gym Tote, and it's a much more flexible bag, allowing for much more freedom in loading... if it only allowed for a shoulder strap, it would blow the PD Tote away. It's going back! Let the search continue...

Fits two camera 5d mark iii bodies and 3 short prime lenses with a flash and two memory card cases with other accessories. The quality of this bag is top notch and I really liked how minimal it is. I am a portrait and wedding photographer and I still like the convenience of having a shoulder bag despite how much I could probably fit in a backpack. That being said. It is a light bag but with all of my equipment it gets HEAVY. the only thing I wish that this bag had an option for are tuck away backpack straps. That way it could turn into a backpack when I don't need to switch my equipment for a while. But I do switch it frequently enough because I prefer to shoot with prime lenses.

I am writing a positive review despite returning it because this product is an excellent camera bag. It just isn’t a great daily tote for me as it was too stiff and didn’t expand enough for me to stuff it with everything that I needed to have in odes to get through the day. The quality of the bag is excellent and I love the idea of the flexible dividers but just couldn’t find a way to make it work for my daily tote setup. If and when I ever need a camera bag, I’ll definitely look at Peak Design. I have their tech pouch and love it! It’s not you, Peak Design, “it’s me…I’m the problem, it’s me.” 😂

Very nice camera bag, well made and durable. I love having the ability to customize the partitions to fit whichever gear I'm using that day.

I have used peak design’s camera straps and capture clips for a while, and have found them well-designed and enjoyable to use. The design of this bag is much less successful than those products, though. I purchased it to use for those times in which I’m caring a small amount of camera gear, as well as to hold my various personal items (wallet, keys, phone, etc.), so that I only have to carry one bag. The construction of the bag provides good protection for camera gear, but it fails at being effective at holding other items. As you can see in my photo, the outside zippered pocket is so shallow that it barely holds a minimal wallet, and putting your wallet in there makes the other small pockets fairly inaccessible. It is also far too small to hold even a moderate sized phone. If they had just made the pocket a few inches deeper, the bag would be much more functional for every day carry. As another review notes, the outside fabric of the bag is quite rough and abrasive. It actually scraped the skin on my knee when the bag brushed against it. Finally, the shoulder strap is well designed and comfortable, and fits securely on the bag and distributes the load. However, it’s a little on the short side. You can comfortably use it as a shoulder strap, but it is far too short to use it for crossbody carry, which would have been a nice feature.

An amazing bag with all features, I absolutely recommend it to anyone

The bag is very well made, but it’s so stiff in the main compartment you’d really have to stretch it out to find anything, and the space is so minimal - if you pack the main compartment well, it’s almost impossible to get anything from the outer pockets. I can’t understand how the designers looked at this and thought it was useful.
