McCambridge Bread Tin Bakery Irish Soda Bread Kit, Pack of 6

I first tried this as per instructions- mixing in the supplied bag-, not great , turned out very crumbly and some hard bits. Second attempt I used my mixer with dough hooks , this provided a much more even texture. I added a small amount of melted butter and a tablespoon of honey and Wow- absolutely delicious result.The baking tray provided is excellent the bread comes out evenly cooked and doesn’t stick at all. I baked it in my airfryer for 35 minutes at 180 and it is perfect.Just to add my mixer is just a cheap and cheerful Murphy Richards not an expensive one but it has made all the difference to the result. No matter how much you try to mix it in bag it just didn’t work for me.I will definitely purchase again, this has been the best soda bread I have ever had, the only problem being it’s not going to last long as everyone loves it!UPDATERealised using a mixer not necessary- just transferred mix to a bowl, added the buttermilk with tablespoon of honey and some melted butter and mixed through with a wooden spoon , still easier with better results than mixing in the bag- absolutely perfect and delicious. Will definitely be making regularly.

Great soda bread

Easy instructions, everything is included and it’s hard to get this wrong. Results are great and a lovely size for one so it doesn’t go stale.

The soda bread is super easy to make a bit small for the money but very tasty my only regret is they advertise the fruit loaf but never have any have they stopped making it if so stop advertising it as it’s getting very frustrating I would love to buy some but finding a yeti would be easier.

This bread is soooo delicious and so simple to make. I have just found out I have a food intolerance to yeast so bought this as it doesn`t contain any yeast. After reading the reviews I followed the advice of others and put the mixture in a bowl with the milk and mixed with a wooden spoon, rather than adding the milk to the bag and massaging to mix as per the instructions. This ticks all the boxes of being easy to make and being so delicious.

Just like being back in the old country. This is bread mixture is a must have and so easy to make not messy mixed in a couple of minutes. Everything you need is contain in the box except the box accept the milk.The taste is superb and the text no mess no fuss just lovely McCambridge Bread Irish Soda Bread Kit.With a cuppa and slice with butter and jam or toasted it is fab!!!

I have been subscribed for a few years , my renewal notification has just arrived.The latest increase if not justifiable for my continuing the subscription .The bread is great , but not the new price which has frequently increased. The latest subscription increasing from £19.03 to £27.95 , making me wonder is it now blessed before leading the factory ?You can live with the odd leaky mixing bag and straightening every baking tin, as part of the whole experience but not this type of increase.I searched for this as Amazon are good at sometimes offering the highest price 1st, over £41 seemingly is the current non subscription price.Do the maths per loaf, wow.Really sorry but I'm out sorry 😞Update : Following my review the price has since dropped to a more realistic price 👍

We love this product. Very easy to use and can knock out a loaf in under 25 mins. Couple of tips. Line the little tin with a piece of grease proof paper, don’t measure just tear a bit off and line bottom and sides. (Cut a rectangle bigger than tin base and sides. and cut in from corners as a whole, push into tin. No grease needed.)Measure milk accurately, when mixing in bag mix for twice as long as you think. It will go thicker after a GOOD massage. If it looks like runny porridge keep mixing. The more mixing the better.We bake in a table top halogen and it takes 20mins, any more and it will burn.No mess or fuss just yummy bread, now have it delivered monthly.

I bought a box of this mix in Ireland last summer, and was so happy to find it (very reasonably priced) on Amazon. We like to eat it regularly. I like to add a tablespoon of molasses in the batter. So wholesome and delicious.

I am from Ireland and have .lived in the states for years . I absolutely love Good Irish soda bread and finally found bread that tastes just like the way my mom made it .Love , Love this bread . The best thing is that it is so easy to make , just add water to the mixture .Highly recommend this bread .

Very easy to make , and tastes great. Wish it was bigger

I wanted to make something from my Irish heritage for an International Christmas Celebration my women’s group is having. Ordered the soda bread mix. After reading reviews added vinegar to the milk to imitate buttermilk, 1T melted butter and 1T honey and some craisins. It said bake 35-40 min. I baked for 40. It tasted okay, definitely better with butter or toasted. However, it was dry and somewhat crumbly and fell apart too easily. So the next batch I added an egg, 2T melted butter, 2T honey, actual buttermilk, and the craisins. Baked for 35 min. Much better! The craisins really add a tasty sweetness. The problem this time was with the extra ingredients, the mix overran the pan while baking. But it tasted good. Maybe it’s not genuine Irish Soda Bread anymore………

A girlfriend got me this from the Dublin airport as a gift. I was so delighted to find that it was available for purchase on Amazon.The first time I made it, I followed the directions exactly and I made it in the bag. I can say this is NOT the way to go. After reading a number of reviews, I took the mix out. Combined it with an egg as well as the milk in a bowl. It is amazing.My husband absolutely loves it.
