Great
Works for its intended use. Great for gripping the mat during yoga.

Very nice.
Great fit and very comfortable thick fabric. Excellent grip on the yoga mat. Gaiam always make great stuff for Yogis.

Pros & Cons
I bought these gloves to use on a non-toxic mat, which has less grip than my old PVC one. - Very grippy on the outside. - Knit fabric/yarn like those tiny winter gloves that stretch, but the knit on these is quite tight, and they are not that stretchy (maybe they will be in time). I can see them being very hot when it's not cool weather. - Good fit for me, but I have small hands and the fingers are tight, but my hands still slip on the inside of the glove (no grips on the inside, obviously). They are snug on my fingers and take some time to get off (unless you peel them off inside out), so I can't imagine someone with larger hands using these. The cuff is also very snug. In DD, the glove pulls in between my fingers and digs into my hands, but I am adapting by putting more weight on my palms rather than my fingers.

So these gloves are for one) thicker than expected. Secondly, my hands slide inside the gloves which kinda defeats the point.

Glove-ly
Wow. Thank goodness I didn’t read any of the leading reviews posted here before I bought these gloves. I love my gloves so much I bought five pairs in the colors of black , pink and green . They not only provided my practice with stability, but they also absorbed the sweat that rolled down my arms in inversions or arm support poses. By the end of class, my gloves were soaked. Out of consideration for the rubber grippy dots on the palm, I always gently washed my gloves in the sink with soap and water and let them air dry (they are pretty thick and take time to dry this way - hence the purchase of multiple pairs). I found them a cheaper and more effective solution to the problem of sliding around on a yoga mat than buying a yoga towel . Maybe gloves get a bad rap because they look dorky compared to the cool yoga towels generally used - I was the only one in my classes wearing gloves. Eventually, I traded up to an Aurorae Synergy Microfiber Mat/Towel combination mat and passed the gloves on to my aspiring yogi son. For the beginning yogi, though, Gaiam grippy gloves are a great product through which to build your practice comfortably and affordably. NOTE: Also offer a solid grip when throwing a slam medicine ball .

Good Concept But Gloves Do NOT Work
I decided to try these to help out with my grip while I break in a new Yoga mat. Unfortunately, my hands started sliding forward in the the gloves which was very uncomfortable, and then my hands (still in the gloves) started sliding forward on the mat, too! I thought maybe this was just a bad use of the gloves on my part, but then I tried wearing the gloves straight on my hardwood floor and my hands still slipped forward. In fact, my BARE hands stick better to the hardwood floor than when wearing the gloves. So while the concept of the gloves is good, they just don't work. I wish Gaiam wouldn't put something out that's not engineered to work!

Grippy when it is slippery
Bought these for use in hot yoga class. They grip well and keep me firmly in place when my mat gets humid in a hot yoga class. They fit well and are not distracting.

Could be better
Not the amazing quality that you'd expect from this brand. The gripping dots are not well placed and somewhat melted on one of the gloves

Grippy and gets the job done
These have really helped my focus during yoga as I normally have sweaty palms and feel like I’m slipping. The gloves keep me in place so I don’t have to worry about position. They’re also pretty cute. Only downside is they are like mitten fabric so might be better for cooler climates. It’s not that big of a deal though as I have AC on during practice.

冬場は重宝します
軍手並みに分厚いので夏より冬向きです。ヨガのダウンドッグの時にギュッと両手を突き出すとズレますが許容範囲かと思います。
