Matte Molding Clay

I’ve been testing the L'Oreal Men Expert Matt Clay for a while now, and it has become a staple in my morning routine. If you are looking for a natural, "no-product" look with a bit of versatility, this is a solid choice. The Scent & Intensity One thing to note is the fragrance. It has a clean, masculine scent that is definitely noticeable when you first apply it, but it isn't "perfumey" or overwhelming. I found that the strength of the scent is directly tied to how much product you use—if you use a small amount for a messy look, it stays subtle. If you use more for a tighter style, the scent lingers nicely throughout the day. Hold & Texture This is a true matte product. There is zero shine, which is exactly what I want in a clay. The hold isn't the "rock-hard" or extra-firm type; I’d call it a medium-natural hold. It keeps everything in place but allows for movement and doesn't get crunchy. If your hair is very thick or stubborn, you might need a bit more product, but for a standard quiff or textured crop, it’s perfect. The "Beard" Factor (Bonus Use!) I actually decided to try this on my beard to tame some stray hairs, and it worked surprisingly well. Because the hold isn't overly stiff, it kept my beard looking groomed without making it feel sticky or unnatural. If you’re traveling and don't want to pack a separate beard balm, this can definitely pull double duty. Final Pro-Tips - Warm it up: Make sure to rub it between your palms until it disappears before applying. This prevents any white streaks. Like the barber club stuff. Nice smell, canny products range. If you can pick up at discounters do that. Holds ok on short hair. Doesn’t flake. Not greasy.

I'm getting old. My father and ancestors up his bloodline were all as bald as an egg in their thirties, and I've no idea of the men of my mothers bloodline. As such, my hair is vanishing faster than political promises after an election, and the slightest bit of hair gel or water makes my hair look as thin as a whisp of steam. I think it was brewed by a wizard who also suffers with thin hair, and it's ingredients must include unicorn tears, because it makes my hair look thick and voluminous. Glorious even. It holds my hair in place like it's frozen in time, and smells like my barbers hands. It isn't greasy or sticky, and doesn't flake or drop out when it dries (unlike my mates dropping out of plans to go out last minute) Men, I urge you to buy this magical potion. If not for you or me, then buy it for all the people who know you and have to view your unsightly thin hair and exposed scalp.

Good clay for men, please don't stop its production

This is my go-to hair product. It strikes the perfect balance — not too expensive, but certainly not cheap, and it does the job effortlessly every time. There’s no particularly noticeable scent or fragrance, which I actually appreciate, as it doesn’t clash with other products I use. Even better, it doesn’t cause any build-up or discolouration in my hair, which has been an issue with other products in the past. Reliable, effective, and great value for money — I’ll keep using this one.

I don’t think the product is very matte and it leaves the hair a bit greasy. It has a fair price but I wouldn’t buy it again
