For the most part, that's true, but as Wrongfully Accused proves, there's a bit of life in the old shtick. Pat Proft, a screenwriter on The Naked Gun series and Hot Shots!, makes his directorial debut with this farce, which stars--surprise, surprise--Leslie Nielsen in a parody of the feature version of The Fugitive. More than that: Proft piles on joking references to a host of other dramas, including Casablanca, Mission: Impossible, and Braveheart. While the persistence of these inter-movie gags can wear a viewer down a bit, the fact is some of the silly stuff really does hit its target. If the progeny of Airplane! were to end with this movie, it would be a worthy way to say farewell to a once-good idea. Have to be a fan
In a nutshell, the whole movie revolves around Ryan Harrison (Leslie Nielson) as he tries to prove his innocence (usually involving parodies from other movies) after being framed for murder. I personally LOVE this movie. I think it's hilarious from start to finish. The only catch is that you have to be a big fan of Leslie Nielson's type of humor. If you don't like Leslie Nielson, you most definitely won't like this film. I like the fact that the humor in this movie is "clean and simple". It can make you laugh (crack up in my case) without the use of vulgar language.

Spoofs "The Fugitive" (and others)
Leslie Nielson is nearly always great but this movie, sort of a spoof on "The Fugitive" (as well as a few other movies), was just OK to me. Richard Crenna's attempt to mimic Tommy Lee Jones put me off a bit, although I have to admit that he did it reasonably well and pretty humorously. It made me smile - worth watching for sure.

Rip off - avoid seller!
The DVD cover was fine, but the DVD disc inside was broken. I message the seller, but didnt get a respons. Rip off, avoid!

Hilarious movie. Wonderful spoof on "The Fugitive". Laughed from start to finish. Loved it.

What a Hoot
If you enjoy silly stuff, and eschew the mindless sitcom drivel that passes for humor, this might be just what you're looking for. Leslie Nielsen is at his wacky best with a great supporting cast. Some -far from most- of the script falls a little flat, but the sight gags are priceless. Be prepared to laugh. And laugh and laugh.

Une bonne comédie avec Leslie Nielsen pour les fans de cet acteur. Ce DVD fera passer une bonne soirée cinéma.

Hallo liebe Amazonler! Heute schreibe ich über einen der besten Filme (neben den Nackten Kanonen Teilen) "Leslie Nielsen ist Sehr Verdächtig"! Dabei gilt zu beachten, dass wir leider keine Filme mehr von ihm sehen werden, denn er ist im November 2010 leider verstorben - Ruhe in Frieden Leslie!!! Die Filme mit Leslie Nielsen zielen darauf ab vorhandene Filme mit einzubeziehen und diese einfach nur brutalst durch den Kakao zu ziehen, raus kommt eine richtig gute Komödie mit garantierten Lachanfällen, es vergeht kaum eine Minute, was rede ich, maximal dreißig Sekunden bis der neue Lacher den alten ablöst oder man lacht einfach weiter! Jedoch solltet ihr bei diesem Film wirklich auf die Details achten! Denn genau darauf kommt es ganz oft an, deshalb hat mein Vater mich gelehrt, Filme wie Die Nackte Kanone, oder eben auch diese Streifen genau zu verfolgen, oftmals sieht man die meistens Details einfach beim zweiten oder dritten angucken! Wobei wir auch bei der Lustigkeit wären, klar kennt man beim zweiten angucken alle Witze etc. aber das mindert mMn in keinster Weise die Qualität des Filmes! Man freut sich einfach nur wieder auf die Szene und das ist das absolut geniale daran, dass können nicht viele Filme! Heutzutage findest du sowas einfach nicht mehr, die meisten Filme sind alle modernisiert, standartisiert und genormt - hier kriegst du noch was von der alten Schule! (Und ich schreibe diese Rezension als 23 Jähriger!) Von der Qualität des Bildes und des Tones muss ich hier sagen, es ist erträglich. Klar sind wir alle in der heutigen Zeit Blu-Rays und Full HD gewohnt, alles andere ist mittlerweile veraltet. Aber der Film kann aufgrund seines Alters auch trotzdem noch angeguckt werden, es ist halt eine DVD ohne viele Extras mit einem akzeptablen Bild und vernünftigen Ton! Besonders eignet sich der Film wenn ihr nen gestressten Tag hattet und euch einfach mal wieder entspannen wollt, gemütlich auf der Couch zurücklegen, kühles Getränk und nen paar Snacks dazu und der Lachabend ist garantiert! Ich kann euch auf jeden Fall auch die Nackte Kanone Filme empfehlen, falls ihr diesen Film hier mögt! ### Schlusswort ### Sollte euch meine Rezension gefallen haben, oder bei eurer Kaufentscheidung geholfen haben, so würde ich mich über einen kurzen Klick auf "Ja" freuen.
