Came in clutch for a failed print
Had a very large, multi-day 3d print fail on me. I was able to print the missing portion but needed to bond the two areas together. because of the large area I needed something with decent working time that would hold over a surprisingly small actual contact area. This was exactly what I needed. so pros: 1) allowed me to fill in the infill at the contact area to create more surface area for the bond. 2) easy to work with after i got a method down (I recommend a test round on something if it's your first time using it before moving onto your project so you get a feel for it) 3) shapeable both during application and after to help smooth out the shame of your failures 4) surprisingly strong. I needed the bond to hold about a kilo of weight, and after some testing that appears to be more than easy for this. 5) probably the longest working time out of the alternatives for what I was trying to do. (i.e. CA glue, plastic cement... etc) Cons: 1) just a touch less working time then I would have hoped for. it said 25 minutes, but started to get hard to work with around 15 minutes. Again, WAY more than my other options, but it did lead to extra post processing work I would have liked to avoid. 2) it's a touch harder once cured than the plastic around it, so when sanding it I was tending to take away more of the base material than than the epoxy, but i sort of expected this going into it. Until I find a better option for this specific use case, this will remain my top choice.

really good for all kinds of repairs
you need to mix this super well or it won't cure. worked great in repairing and filling my dashboard. I sanded & used textured paint after and it's barely noticeable.

Great for many applications!
I bought this thinking "why not give it a shot". My used vehicle had some slight damage to the rear lift gate handle cover. Essentially, it is the fiberglass panel above the tailgate handle. I had tried to get a replacement to find them extremely pricey. I figured would try JB weld. It worked great! I did not do a professional job, but it came out decent and even more importantly, it is functional and secure. For a first attempt at using this medium, I think it was great! The adhesion is excellent and the coverage is superb. It can even be sanded if I wish to make it even better. I am no longer worried about the panel falling off or being broken open to access the door mechanism. I love JB Weld products! The tube has plenty of product and I didn't need a lot. I will definitely be using more JB Weld!

Git er dun!
Did a job no other glue could do. I tried a few other compounds but it always broke again. This has held together way better than the rest.

JB has come a loooong way since the 1990's
I have to admit, I was pretty wary about trying this, which I used to patch a hole in the wall of a Litter Robot globe. I was first introduced to "JB Weld" in the 90s, and back in those days what you ended up with was a bond that looked like metal, but would easily crumble just by applying pressure with your fingers. THIS STUFF, surprisingly, dried much harder and created a very tight, high quality bond with the plastic globe of the Litter Robot. I experienced none of the difficulties with this that I experienced back with JB Weld in the 90s. It was not runny until dry, it stayed in place, dried and bonded like a boss, and it looks pretty good, considering I haven't yet sanded it. All in all, this product delivered on its promise, my LR3 globe is once again fully functional, and makes me completely satisfied. There is a bit of a smell when the product is fresh from the packaging, but nothing that I could sense once dried. As for the people who have posted saying it doesn't dry, it doesn't work, etc... I have to wonder if they followed the instructions and actually worked the product to mix it as the instructions indicate, because for me, drying was NOT an issue. In fact, I would almost have to argue that it dried a little too quickly. Also, wear gloves when using this product. If it gets on your fingers and dries, it's difficult to clean off. The instructions say to wear gloves, but I'm impatient.

its sticky messy and hard to work with with but it works
I'm this to seal gaps on a 3D print. Material is PLA so adhesion isn't an issue and I can paint over it just fine. I haven't had to worry about chipping as I sand to down pretty good. Thats about all the good things I have to say about this product. My major gripes are it's sticky, messy, and hard to work with. You can't wear gloves when working with this because it sticks to the gloves. It's messy because it sticks to your hands (and gloves) and leaves a white residue on both your hands and the surface I'm working on which makes clean and precise application impossible. Because it's so sticky you can't get just the right amount for what you need either. It dries out fairly fast so you can't sit there and play with it because it's sticky so you have to work fast. After the product dries it dries very well. So well in fact it makes post processing 3D prints an actual headache if you used too much putty. It's almost impossible to not use too much putty because it's so sticky, dries so fast, and is in general hard to work. Have I mentioned how sticky this product is yet? Like I said it does the job but I would not recommend using this for smaller gaps or dips you need to patch. This is better saved for bigger jobs.

Flower pot functional again!
I accidentally pushed a bamboo pole through the side of a very large 20” resin flower pot. I was not about to replace it considering the cost was going to be over $50. I looked around and came across this JB Weld for plastic. I’d heard about JB Weld from my husband and sons for years but not anything specific so I decided on this product in particular because of what they said. They’re all handy and are willing to fix anything before buying new so I figured I might as well give it a try. The main break in the pot was about 10” long and jagged with another 5” break coming off of the main break. I completely rough sanded the interior of the pot so the weld would have a rough area to attach to on both sides of the break. I followed the directions and completely mixed the substance together wearing rubber gloves. I rolled it out like Plato like I did with my kids. I placed it on the crack and pushed and feathered it out about an inch in total across. I repeated the same on the attached jagged crack. I put it out in the sun and the next day went back to find a completely hardened surface and the crack on the outside barely distinguishable. I then sanded the entire outside of the pot and spray painted it. It looks brand new almost. The former break can be seen a bit but all I have to do is turn that part toward the wall. I admit I used the entire amount and I probably put it on thicker than it needed to be but considering the total opening was almost 15” I believe it to be the right amount. I will definitely be purchasing more and keeping it on hand!

It works good!
Works good. The directions say it dries in 5 minutes (if I remember correctly). Sure, its not as smooth, but definitely not dry. It takes a long time to dry, like several hours to fully set. However, that was an advantage for what I was using it on; it allowed me to wipe the excess off the plastic outside of the crack I was filling in. No residue or anything left behind. Just a filled in crack! It doesn't dry as white, its more of a gray. And now a month later, it has a tad bit of a purple hue. Not sure if it did that on its own, or from being outside and exposed to all kinds of stuff. Plan on some paint if you want it to stay white. I should also mention, fresh from the tube it smells kind of like rotten eggs, though. Not strong, but you can definitely smell it.

great product
I buy this product often and find it very useful for many diy jobs. I use disposable gloves when handling it. It is good and strong, holds well. good value for £6.99. It does set quickly. I like leave for a day or so if using with a wet surface.
