almost perfect with installation fiasco
EPSON EX3200 Multimedia Projector (V11H369020) The projector is truly a plug and use device. It comes with a usb cable and all you do is plug it into your computer but that is where my problems started. There was no software disc to install but when I connected the computer an install icon appeared for installation only my computer kept losing the signal from the projector causing the screen to turn blue and blank after calling tech support twice for solution "change usb cable " which didn't help and install software from epson website which wouldn't work because the latest software had already been installed I was ready to return the projector to Amazon with some choice words especially after the last tech person told me if I wanted to use the projector I would have to disconnect and reconnect it to the computer every time the signal loss caused the screen to go blank.Sounds ludicrous right? But having a modicum of intelligence I uninstalled the latest version software and reinstalled the older version software from epson website and the projector works like a charm. I have an IMAC running a 10.6.8os x and a Macbook pro 10.6 os x. So the projector does all that it is supposed to do once you get past the software installation process. It would have gotten 5 stars without that fiasco.

Definitely a big dissapointment! Had to return this item.
Previous reviews were deceiving, I bought this based on several five star reviews by Amazon buyers. I am a power-user and former I.T. specialist, and found this product's promise of true USB connectivity offered exclusively by Espon's new projectors very promising. The thought that I could hook up my Mac Airbook, or my classroom PC- Dell tower without standard clunky VGA monitor cables was just too tempting, so I bought it.However, the USB cable connection turns on and off constantly- USB connection was just not stable enough for classroom use- it was so delicate; if you barely touched anything it would turn itself off for several minutes! (While my class just sat there) :(I also found the clarity & brightness of the screen image/projection extremely poor, even though lighting conditions were fine and the projector was placed at only 8 feet away. Even if the item projected stably, the image was just not clear enough for me to present decent demonstrations of software use for my students.I may try the next level up of resolution over it's 2400 lumens, but still very wary now.Hope that Espon can work on a solution to correct these fatal flaws, as I still want USB connectivity that works well in a DLP or LCD projector one day!

missing HDMI
I purhased this projector, then returned it for the EX 5200. I had intermittent problems with the USB connection when hooked up to my Macbook Pro. Also, I didn't realize the EX 3200 didn't have HDMI capability. There is a huge quality difference between the USB and HDMI hook-up available on the 5200. The detail is much finer, and video wasn't so herky-jerky. I think the 3200 is only good for conventional slide presentations, something not expressed in other Amazon customer reviews. I'm satisfied and relieved with the EX5200, for less than $100 more.I can't imagine anyone settling for less than HDMI, if you have the output.

Easy-to-use computer projector
I ordered this projector based upon the very positive reviews. I am tired of using the traditional computer projector with it's video connector and the associated fussing with the F9 key to get the right output to the projector. This projector connects via the USB port. The projector's software is self-contained on the unit. Installation on my Mac laptop was almost instantaneous. The laptop's desktop appeared almost immediately. Installation on my Windows laptop was as simple and almost as quick. The projector also permits multiple source connections, and the remote allows the operator to toggle between the video sources. I received notice of shipment on Sunday, and it arrived on Tuesday. That is incredible service.

Works like a charm
Worked perfectly, first time. The only reason for 4 stars is that I would like the ability to control it remotely and the right cable to connect it to an IPAD. But it came exactly as described, on time, carefully packed and I've already used to present to a group in a large darkened room, it works great. Thanks!

My concern with this projector is that it is very marginal for my intended use. The resolution of the projector is only 800 x 600 and when projecting smaller typed figures they project so fuzzy that they are almost unreadable on the screen. Epson's tech support is very good however and they isolated the problem for me and finally suggested that I needed to upgrade the projector for what I was trying to do. For someone wanting to use the projector for Power Point presentations with very large letters it would be OK or for projecting just photos or video it works OK. For my use however, I bought cheap and paid the price in it's utility.

Epson projector
I wanted a projector which would provide the easiest possible use .- ie plug-in and project with minimum effort or technical know-how. This projector is doing just this. The adjustments are to the finger tips and within minutes the set up is complete. It is lightweight and provides a clear picture and can be used wth a Mac or PC. It works exactly as the manufacturer has promised.

Great Projector!
The projector is great! I bought it to use at church and I'm hoping it will do the trick. From what I've tried here at home, it should do fine. Good sharp picture and easy use. I was hoping to do a monitor extension from my laptop to the projector using the USB cable, but it would only show what was on my computer. No worries; the VGA cable did what I wanted to do just fine. Can't wait to really put this through its paces.
