dOvOb Micro Mini Blocks Taj Mahal Building and Architecture Model Set,(4000Pieces) Toys Gifts for Kid and Adult

I bought this for me and my two college age roommates to work on instead of spending full price for legos. The bricks are much smaller than legos and so would likely be a choking hazard for kids and potentially easy to lose, however I think I could have successfully built this starting at around age 10. It takes a long time to build, and because the pieces are so small that they would be hard to use for someone that has poor vision or arthritis, but with the tweezer tool they give you it is much easier although takes more time. The structure itself is very detailed and the instructions have detailed drawings for each step, much like assembling ikea furniture. Overall, I think it’s a very fun challenging model to build and good value for how many pieces it includes. I recommend sorting the pieces before you start and I did so with cupcake liners. I also found a butter knife to be useful for prying the pieces off when we made mistakes.

It took me more than 10h to assemble this set. The instructions are easy to follow, usually one page depicts a single layer, and all the tiles from previous sets are in light blue color, which makes it easy to see what changed and which block goes where. The set also comes with lots of spares, so no worries if you loose a block. The blocks are very small, and especially the 1-size or 2-size blocks are too tiny to be assembled by hand, but luckily the box comes with pincers - which worked great - and even a block removal tool, in case something was placed incorrectly. Overall it was easy to assemble. The only downside was the packaging of the blocks, which seemed pretty random to me, so I soon started re-sorting the blocks into lots of different bowls, which sped things up a lot. Overall, I had great fun building this. I especially loved the attention to detail. Some other reviews indicated that the blocks didn't stick, but I didn't not have such issue, to blocks stick together neatly when I built this.

As noted, this is VERY challenging, especially as a MICRO set, which is much smaller than the Mini size. This is the first set we have received that has a specialized tweezer & prying tool. Those 2 rate 10 stars**********!!! I was really amazed at what a difference they make in improving the ability to put this thing together, especially the very smallest pieces. I'd guess they cut the assembly time at least in half! They tweezers are a well-designed stainless steel that you close onto a piece & hold it while you place the piece, then release it & taa-daa! It's in place!....instead of fumbling & fussing with relative "sausage size" fingers trying to manipulate tiny pieces that are only 1/8" diameter! They are practically 'worth their weight in gold'! The little prying lever works great also in removing a piece! This pieces in this set adhere together particularly well, so it is very sturdy...and thus hard to get pieces apart when the need arises. This lever works wonders with that also. I would also highly recommend a free-standing magnifying LED lamp: that makes a world of difference also! I really like this particular brand; we have another set from them also. Very high quality! The instructions are well laid out with good details for 'special' pieces that need further instruction for putting together. They are not written, but this type of project would be impossible to write out what needs to be done. That would be mind boggling to even attempt to write out, let along so someone could figure it out! The only thing that would be an improvement, for me anyway with 'older' eyes, would be for the lines between pieces in the diagrams to be a little darker. For me it's hard to distinguish where one piece leaves off & another begins, especially when dealing with several L-shaped pieces that are intertwined together. Or when I have a long row of one color & it takes several long bricks, but of different lengths, it's hard to see the individual lengths. I highly recommend this solid, but challenging set....if you have the patience & determination to follow thru with it! My son & I work on it taking turns, with each one doing 1-3 pages on instructions. So just relax & enjoy & don't rush! Stop or take a break when your eyes get tired!

Overall was great directions are a bit weird to follow in the later stages but once you get the hang of it it’s no problem and it is every bit of 4000 pieces so when you buy thisBe prepared for this not to be child friendly it can be very frustrating at times for the lack of clarity in the directions and for the little ones that lack patience a.k.a. kids this can prove to be a dealbreaker but if you are an adult looking for a mini Lego set that really will challenge you then this is it. And don’t expect to get this done in a day unless you want to sit down for 7+ hours good luck have fun!

My 8 year old son goes through Lego sets like it’s for babies so I decided to give micro a try. This is our first ever micro set and I’m loving it so far. I like the fine motor challenge and I like the complexity of the set. My son said he likes it more than Lego because it takes more than 1 day to complete (win win financially). My only complaint is that I wish the bags were organized differently. It’s annoying having to go through 5 different bags to gather pieces for 1 step. Ziploc bags definitely help with organizing but it’s still annoying. Because of the bag organization I have to help with getting the pieces so nothing gets lost. This is a great family project! I’m excited to see the completed set. Update: finally finished this set. It took us exactly 1 month. My son had a few meltdowns over small pieces but it’s ok. This activity was meant for fine motor skill building and patience training. It’s great as a bonding activity as well. He feels proud of himself and i couldn’t be happier. I ordered two more Sets from this company.

I bought this unit and built it myself with out any issues I found it very straightforward and the instructions were simple and easy to follow plus the tweezers that came the kit made it so much easier to build the unit my model came out 100% perfect and it is my master piece what a beautiful model thank you dovob for your high quality product

This is not a children’s build IMO - a teen or older only. It was so much fun! It probably took me 20+ hours to complete and it came with LOTS of extra pieces. 10/10!!! The pieces are much smaller than Legos but it came with reeeeeaaaally helpful tweezers custom molded to fit the bricks.

My first build using the micro mini blocks. Challenging build for someone who is use to standard size building blocks. You have to be VERY detail oriented and organized to successfully complete this build. Build time was about 6 partial days. Directions are easy enough to follow but you really have to pay attention to piece placement. Don’t expect Lego style directions! I’m not sure if there is an attempt to compensate for previous “missing pieces” complaints but I had a ridiculous amount of extra pieces (photo attached) Great value for money, I got tired of paying hundreds of dollars for LEGO. I’m hooked. On to the next one.
