Very useful. The patches work really well keeping the pod in place.

From the pods themselves, to these patches and everything in between, we are so so pleased with the omnipod and the convenience and durability of it. We don’t have to hear that stupid tandem pump screaming at us anymore, just a pleasant beep when the pod gets low of insulin, needs to be changed or his glucose is out of range. The only thing I find a little wonky about these are overlays is you have to keep the corners of the overlay apart, and you can do that if you pull the backing down to the perforated seam, and taking that top and the little bit of side you peeled off and putting it on the top and sides, while pulling the rest of the white backing off. Pro tip: if you keep your hands on the overlay as your peeling, and don’t let it touch the pod or the skin of the person you’re applying it to, once you get the backing off you can take your fingers and put it where you need to around the pod. Ensuring that the overlay doesn’t touch the pod, the skin around the pod, or flip into itself will require several fingers. Once the overlay sticks to something, it’s absolutely not moving until you yeet it out of there, more than likely using alcohol, some tearing of skin, yelling and elbow grease. It’s kinda difficult to pit them on, but once you get used to doing them, and my husband says it ms totally worth it. Nothing sticks to his body, band aids, dressings, etc but this does thank goodness. He hasn’t lost a single pod since using these. And the price is great!
