The repetition in the exercises seems tedious at times but all that repetition really drives home some of the more basic and necessary concepts in German. I highly recommend this book. Review: Good book. - My grand daughter lives in a small, no real kitchen situation, but she has an air fryer. This should help her expand her culinary experience somewhat :-).

Not exactly for beginners, would spend your time elsewhere
It’s a very thorough book, but not really for beginners. If you are brand new to German learning you will find this book difficult as it does not translate most things for you. It does have great examples and exercises to supplement a learning program though. I don’t think this book is good as a primary source of learning but rather a supplement. Update: I have continued to work through the exercises and it has a TON of information. By a ton I mean you might find yourself being introduced to 20 new verbs on a single page. There are even times where the verbs the book is trying to use don’t even appear on Wikipedia or other popular conjugation websites (since the conjugated translation is not listed)

Great book, 1 teeny problem.
This is a GREAT book to have as an accompaniment to other lesson books, as a self-learner. It DOES focus more on actual practice and gives the bare minimum in the way of explanations- so, if you're JUST starting to learn the language, you will DEFINITELY need other books that go into more depth with full grammar explanation. A lot of the time, it's difficult to think up things to write as practice when you don't have a teacher to assign you lesson-specific homework. So, think of this thing as a giant book of homework rather than an all-in-one, full German course. I only gave 4 stars, though, because I've noticed that, for some lessons, the wrong 'Answer Key' is given in the back of the book. Specifically, for example, the answer key for lesson '3-8.' Luckily, I am in contact with multiple native speakers that were willing to check my answers, so the lack of a correct answer key isn't a MASSIVE bother for me... however, if you don't have a German handy, it could be a problem.

Great grammar review
Really allows me to brush up on my German grammar. I don’t live near anyone that speaks the language, so got a little rusty. I would definitely recommend this book.

Good tool for self study
The book is a great tool for self studying. The explanations are very clear and complicated grammar terminology is not used. It is a good tool for practising or reviewing German grammar. You need to have a little base in order to be comfortable working with this book, as some of the examples use more advanced grammar not necessarily related to the topic studied in that chapter. I was disappointed in the quality of the paper, as it is very thin and it breaks very easily.

Comprehensive but many flaws
The book contains many informations, however the structure make it really ineffective. The main problem (in my opinion) are the exercises, which take more than 50-60% of it. They take way too much space, are more extended than necessary and after 100 pages you realize you didn't learn much. They also lack in variety, most of them (almost all) require to fill a gap with a word, there's no cd or listening fragment in the app, so no listening exercises. Just a bunch of informations you can find online. There are bo tables, son the informations are organized pretty poorely. I honestly don't recommend it.

Fantástico
Livro fantástico para quem é consegue aprender sozinho e fala inglês, eu recomendo esse livro para quem é A2 - B1 e quer praticar e revisar conteudos. Alemão é a quinta lingua que estou aprendendo e não me arrependo de ter comprado esse livro.

Bien
Excelente libro que amerita estudios previos en el idioma. Embalado apresuradamente, es un libro grande y lo enviaron doblado en rollo en una caja pequeña
