My Personal Review of the Logitech G Pro X Wireless Lightspeed Headset
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5) As someone who values both high-quality audio and comfort in a gaming headset, I was excited to try out the Logitech G Pro X Wireless Lightspeed. After several months of use, here’s my personal take on its performance, comfort, and overall experience. --- First Impressions & Build Quality Right out of the box, the headset felt premium. The combination of a steel headband, aluminum forks, and memory foam ear cushions gives it a solid, well-built feel. It’s a bit heavier than some other wireless headsets I’ve used, but it doesn’t feel too bulky. The ear cups are very comfortable, and I appreciate that Logitech includes both leatherette and velour ear pads—I prefer the velour for longer gaming sessions since they’re more breathable. --- Sound Quality – Crisp & Immersive The 50mm Pro-G drivers deliver fantastic sound quality. Playing FPS games like Grayzone and PUBG, I could easily pinpoint enemy footsteps and directional audio cues. The DTS:X 2.0 surround sound enhances immersion, but I actually prefer using the custom EQ settings in the Logitech G HUB software for a more balanced experience. For non-gaming use, the headset performs well for music and movies, though it leans towards a more neutral sound rather than overly bass-heavy. If you love deep bass, you might want to tweak the EQ settings. --- Microphone – Great, But Needs Tweaks The Blue VO!CE microphone is a big selling point, and it does offer solid voice clarity for in-game communication and Discord calls. That said, out of the box, the mic sounds a bit flat and quiet, so I had to adjust the settings in G HUB. After tweaking, the noise reduction and voice filters made a noticeable difference in clarity, though it’s still not as good as a standalone mic. --- Wireless Performance & Battery Life The LIGHTSPEED wireless technology is impressive. The connection is rock-solid with zero noticeable latency, which is a must for competitive gaming. The range is also excellent—I can walk across my apartment without any dropouts. Battery life is solid but not exceptional. I get around 18–20 hours per charge, which is enough for a couple of days of gaming, but I do wish it lasted a bit longer. It comes with a USB Type C charging. 15 minutes quick charge and you will have a solid gaming hours. --- Software & Customization The Logitech G HUB software is easy to use and offers tons of customization. I set up different EQ profiles for gaming and music, and the ability to fine-tune the Blue VO!CE mic settings is a great feature. --- What I Love ✅ Excellent audio quality for gaming and media ✅ Comfortable for long gaming sessions ✅ Low-latency wireless performance with great range ✅ Customizable sound and mic settings via G HUB ✅ Detachable mic with Blue VO!CE filters for clear communication What Could Be Better ❌ No Bluetooth support (Only works with the USB dongle) ❌ Battery life could be better compared to some competitors ❌ Mic requires some tweaking to sound its best --- Final Verdict: Worth It? Yes! If you're a PC or PlayStation gamer looking for a high-quality wireless gaming headset, the Logitech G Pro X Wireless Lightspeed is an excellent choice. It delivers top-tier sound, low-latency wireless, and great comfort, making it one of the best headsets I’ve used. However, if you need Bluetooth support, longer battery life, or Xbox compatibility, you might want to look at other options. But for competitive gaming and immersive audio, this headset is definitely worth the investment. Final Score: 4.5/5

Excellent wireless gaming headset – perfect upgrade from wired
I bought the Logitech G PRO X Wireless headset as a gift for my son, who plays esports games. He previously used a wired headset and managed to pull the cable out twice when standing up from the computer, so switching to wireless was the perfect solution. The wireless connection is very stable, with no noticeable delay, and the sound quality is excellent. Game audio is clear and detailed, making it easier to hear footsteps and in-game cues. The microphone quality is also very good – voices sound clean and natural, which is great for team communication. The headset is comfortable to wear for longer gaming sessions, and the battery easily lasts through many hours of use. Overall, this was a great choice and a big improvement over a wired headset. Highly recommended for gaming and esports.

No sound delay, good audio, no noise cancellation, comfortable, good battery life, good connection
These are wireless headphones which is nice to avoid having a wire catch when you move. The connection seems excellent, with no issues connecting and very importantly no noticeable sound delay which is a common issue with wireless audio. This is likely achieved by the use of a dedicated wireless dongle. This does however mean THE HEADPHONES CANNOT CONNECT WITHOUT THE DONGLE. You cannot wirelessly connect these to your phone for example. These are for dedicated PC use only. The app seems fine with the usual options for EQ etc and I experienced no issues downloading and using it. I don't believe the app is required to use the headphones as the dongle connects automatically when plugged in. The battery life is ~20 hours which should be plenty provided you charge them when not in use. The microphone is decent quality, and can be detached when not in use. There is a mute button on the side of the headphones with a tone to confirm if you have muted/unmuted. I personally prefer mics that can be rotated upwards to mute but this works fine too. The headset comes with two cup options that you can swap between. One is a faux leather and the other is foam. In theory the leather has better sound isolation but they seem similar so use the one that feels more comfortable (foam for me). There is no active noise cancellation, but the passive isolation seems reasonable. In a noisy environment you will definitely be able to hear things around you though. The headset feels comfortable and is not too heavy, with a sturdy construction including a metal headband, with the cups being partially metal. There is a rather annoying feature which is the volume wheel on the left cup. Since you have to use with a PC it serves little function, and is quite sensitive so it is possible to accidentally adjust the volume if you brush against your clothes or something, which is quite possible given it is on the lower rear of the cup.

Play with your EQ settings!
I'm 33. I'm not a hardcore or competitive gamer anymore, I just don't have the time, so if you are, this review isn't for you. When I get chance to have a game, I just want to relax. I also do some solo development work as a hobby, so I listen to a lot of music. I wanted a decent sounding wireless headset. I have a wired Phillips Fidelio X2HR with a VModa Boom Pro attached at the moment. I hate wires, but they sound pretty good. I'm just not a fan of the wires or open backs too much. These look very nice out of the box. They don't look flashy, they aren't filled with RGB. They look pretty classy if I'm being honest. They feel well built, I don't have any concerns about the build quality. They look a bit like the Hyper X Cloud II's in terms of build which I've had a couple of in the past. One negative when putting them on is that I have a big, long head. I put these on at the maximum the headband will allow me to and they feel a tad tight. I'm sure once the pleather has softened up, these should get more comfortable. A large negative is the sound out of the box. If you're using G HUB, go to advanced EQ's and play with them - trust me. I've read reviews and comments elsewhere saying out of the box they are great and they have the best settings. I wholeheartedly disagree. Again, I'm no longer a competitive gamer, so this might be wrong to say, but when I put a song on, or game music plays, the default 'Flat' and 'Bass Boost' settings are possibly the muddiest sounding in any headphones I've ever experienced, and at this point, I've had a lot of headphones (much to my wife's annoyance). Thankfully, the advanced EQ has let me spend a few hours playing with the settings, and I have a much brighter, natural sound to pretty much everything. I've attached images of my settings to this review, in case you want to try them. I have a feeling however, that each headset might be a bit unique in that aspect and what I perceive as sounding good might not be what someone else would like. I haven't tried the microphone, but as with most wireless, I hear they're not too great - so my expectations aren't high, but this wasn't high on my list of priorities, so any half decent microphone will be good for me. There is a nice looking case it comes with, the USB C charging cable looks to be good quality. The expected battery life states 24 hours; which is more than enough for my needs. I don't pump these out at maximum volume, so that battery life should be about right. The volume scroll on the headset doesn't seem to work however, but I think this is more to do with the G HUB software or the firmware it's updated the headset with, I'll have a look further in to that later. I have a way to adjust volume on my keyboard anyway, so not a big deal right now. Would I recommended these for a filthy casual gamer like I've become? Probably not. As a bit of a gadget addict I'd probably buy the Arctis Pro Wireless over these, however they are pricey and has been out of stock for some time and I got fed up of waiting. Will these do for me? Despite being a little pricey, yes. I like pleather closed headphones. I like my music, I like gaming when I get a chance to these days, I like being able to get up in a hurry when the baby tries to do something he shouldn't, without forgetting there is wire and yanking them off my head and these seem like they'll be a good all-rounder for me.

Crystal clear sound, solid mechanical feel.
Pro Crystal clear sound quality best I have ever heard, comfortable and fits really well considering the weight, wireless seems to go pretty far but I haven't really tested it, solid feeling build quality. Con Heavy maybe a problem if you have neck issues, maybe not the best looking things if that's important to you. Other I don't know how long the battery lasts it has never run out for me yet seem to last all day and charge at night. Overall I am very happy with these.

Poor sound quality (considering price/where it sits in their range), missing velour ear pads.
I bought this under Amazon resale, condition was listed as "Excellent - Like New". Sure enough, condition of the headphones was excellent, however the velour set of ear pads was missing (I knew to expect them in the package as I saw reviews of the product/whats in the box on Youtube prior to purchasing). Not a deal breaker to the point I would send it back and it would no doubt be complicated raising it with Amazon to explain the matter (not sure what their resolution would be or if it would be worth the hassle), but when something is listed "like new" you expect it to come with the extra pieces or at the least be honest that maybe something is missing. Purchase experience aside, I am not massively impressed with the sound quality and I would not describe myself as an audio snob by any means (I appreciate I am coming across as a fussy customer here in this review, reality is I am easy going but if I pay for something I expect a value/what I paid for and I do not think that is unreasonable). I have had a lot of wireless and wired headsets over the years (Original Beats, Beyerdynamics, Sennheiser, Audio Technica), but i've currently whittled my collection down to 3 headsets - These Logitechs, Arctis Pro Wireless (owned for 4 years+), Arctis Nova Pro Wireless (The Logitech/Arctis Nova were purchased the same week/recently). To be honest its my original Arctis Pro Wireless that are BY FAR the best. Nova coming in second by default and these Logitechs quite a bit further down the totem pole. To try improve the sound quality, I have tried using the manufacturers software to access the extended features (of which I find this annoying needing to install a separate application as I like a clean/un-bloated system/nothing running in the background taking up resources), experimented with the equaliser, downloaded reputable pre-sets, but nope... My original Arctis Pro Wireless were and are still by far the best (Plus both my Arctis have a 2 battery/swap battery system, meaning you'll never run out of charge - one battery is in its DAC charging, while you use the other one in the headphones, then swap them out in 2 seconds. Its a system I am not sure why other top end headsets do not adopt). I haven't and will never use the microphone, so cannot comment on that. Going by reviews on Youtube however, it seems to be pretty decent for what it is and I thought it was impressive sounding when I heard it in the reviews. Fitment, yeah its fine. Clamping pressure, size of ear cups (I have a scaffolding ear piercing and it can be annoying, but it was fine) all fine. The material of the headband and ear cups I am not so sold on though. I wash my hair regular and tend to put a moisturiser through it/let it dry. To the touch my hair is fine but it ends up showing as a greasy mark on the headband and for some reason the ear cups which is kind of gross. My SteelSeries its an adjustable elastic cloth system (also replaceable for hygiene and customisation), so not an issue with them and this was not even a thought/issue previously prior to getting these. In terms of what I use my headphones for... Primarily 4k movies and games (its rare I play games, but for something like The Last of Us 1 & 2, story type games I mean). The only positive is that I got these in a wicked sale, so I am not quite as heart broken with the quality. Original price was something like £209.99. They were on sale for £109 and with the Amazon resale were £67 - Which is why I am less bothered by the missing ear pads, but would have been nice to have. Had I paid full price, with the (in my opinion) poor sound quality and missing ear pad I would have been pretty angry/disappointed. Of course, sound is subjective, folks might love these, but honestly I am by no means elitist/snobish when it comes to sound... But in general when spending £200-350+ on headphones I think you should be getting a jaw dropping item with all the bells and whistles. I suspect this set of Logitechs are very similar to the newer v2 version (Pretty sure I read they use the same driver, the new version is more cosmetic upgrade with swivel ear cups), so I have zero intention of purchasing those. However, the SteelSeries Arctis (particularly on sale) are by far the better products and sensible long term purchase in terms of build quality, features (physical/ease of life & in software), sound quality etc. These Logitechs will leave you with a questionably large dent in your bank balance and wanting a better item. p.s. For the record, Logitech DO make great products (just not this headset, unsure about the others in the range). I have x2 G502 Lightspeed mice (excellent, hence why I have a spare), Z5500 speakers, later upgraded to Z906 speakers. Not a particularly massive difference between z5500 and z906, but both sets of speakers are exceptional in terms of value and the sheer power/strength and sound quality is absolutely off the chart (I just can't use a speaker system at a reasonable volume where I live, hence requiring a nice set of headphones in place of what was an excellent set of speakers).

all round excellent
Bought as a secondary headset for when I need wireless for things like movie watching and using with a living room PC. There's a lot to like and not a lot to dislike, im not. fan of flashy LED lighting on a headset, this looks simple and classy and doesn't make you look stupid wearing it. pro's - Very comfortable and I can wear them for hours without discomfort - good sound quality and decent mic quality - huge amount of customisation through the app - very good wireless range, zero drop outs in the same room and can roam a good portion of the house without dropouts. - long battery life, somewhere around 15 hours per charge on average. - volume dial and mute are easy to find and use. cons - power switch a little fiddly to find and use - dongle is pretty large but making it smaller would probably sacrifice range. - I find I have to bend the mic to a convenient position a lot but it might be just how I wear the headset as I find I have to do that with other headsets too

Flawed Product
These headphones is a great all-rounder. It however is critically flawed. TLDR; Had first item replaced, second broke the same way, I would avoid this product. I took excellent care of both. I bought it almost immediately after it came out, very pricey. I was expecting it to exude quality, and to a degree it did. When you buy a product that plugs into a computer you're paying for the hardware, but also the software. The software is great, the hardware WAS great at first. The mic only sounds good when properly EQ's in G-Hub (with Blue Voice), the bitrate of the mic is low but adequate for wireless. I've talked to people I've seen online with these and they too have had the same problems as far as poor build quality. I take excellent care of my items yet, about 7 months in I was walking down the stairs an the headphones snapped where the headband meets the cup, and hung around my my neck like a limp noodle. I, being a frequent buyer of Logitech products assumed that this was anomaly. This was not the case. Support was great from both Amazon and Logitech. 5 stars for that. I shouldn't have waited so long after the second broke to make this post. This could have been avoided if they had applied the care invested in the metal earcup exterior, to the single most stressed part of the headset. The weak point of this headset is a 3mm shaft self-tapping screw, that fits into a 1mm thickness plastic tube. Not only that but the plastic mold that the screw goes into is GLUED to the headset cable, meaning when the half a gram of plastic gives way, the headset is pretty much unfixable. (I would like to go into detail about how Logitech has gone from high quality products to overpriced hardware with software doing most of the heavy lifting for their halo products. The rest of their catalogue being budget style focused 'gamer' gear... but let's not get into that.) A good product is a good product. This isn't it unless that plastic is replaced with some sort of metal or better designed.
