My boy thinks it's a very good baskerball net Its a sturdy product .it a lot better than the last one .I was impressed with instructions easy to put together and was surprised it came with a spare net and bolts definitely think this was a good choice.

I was dreading putting this together due to reviews I'd seen for all makes of basketball hoops but it was fine. You do need 2 people, a couple of hours, a tape measure to confirm you are using the correct screws but it all fitted together well. The instructions are sparse but not difficult. My 15 year old loves it. It looks smart and is sturdy. Hoop if full 10ft height. Delivery was as advertised. I filled the base with water and it was fine. Very happy.

Assembly: The construction of the basketball post is very straight forward for an average DIY person. Much has been written about the nonsensical instructions. My advice - lay out the post parts on the ground where you think they belong. Then you may refer to the diagram but just use a logical approach. Two people assembling the post took less than half an hour. I have a ratchet set. This makes assembly much quicker than using the supplied flimsy spanner. I filled the plastic weight at the base of the post with kiln dried sand (the sand used to fill in between paving bricks). Even so, a gusty wind would potentially blow over the post as the backboard acts like a sail. I secured my post with rope attached to two eye rings, two meters apart, screwed into a brick wall and attached to the post at a height of two meters. Risk assessment: Warning - there is a strong possibility that the post would be blown over in a strong wind. Imagine if it landed on a child!!!. The manufacturer should warn purchasers of this risk. They should offer suggestions how to secure the post if left in exposed positions. The quality of the post is of a high specification. NB. The height of the ring / backboard can be altered but that requires removal and replacement of bolts and nuts. It is not straight forward but a good option at initial build. Would I buy this product again? Yes.

Great hoop which adjusts to suit the kids now and as they grow. Relatively easy to assemble and very sturdy. Would highly recommend.

Having read the reviews I was dreading putting this togther. Its true the instructions are poor - mine were in Spanish - but the assembly diagram in the product description helped a lot, and it's pretty intuitive to put together, once you suss out how the ring attaches to the back board and there are plenty of videos on you tube to help you do that. It took me about an hour but two people could have this up in 20-30mins. Seems very sturdy and decent quality - time will tell.

This is a sturdy hoop that is official 10ft to the rim. Can be made shorter too, easily. It wheels around easily, but be careful, tilting the hoop to engage the wheels means the heavy water filled base touches the concrete and the abrasion wore a hole in mine first time. We had to effect a patch to mend it.

I bought this for my daughter's birthday, and although it arrived in time, that was the least of my problems. I attempted to assemble it for two hours on the morning of her birthday (as a surprise for when she got home from school) and it was IMPOSSIBLE. It arrives flat-packed, and like a terrible jumble of bits and pieces and bolts and springs and, frankly, garbage, that is mostly designed to fit a maximum of these units into a shipping container rather than for easy assembly. I tried and tried in vain to even get past the first couple of steps in the mangled auto-translated instructions and it was IMPOSSIBLE – the bolts were not large enough to fit the hoop to the backboard, and this was step one. I am actually an engineer (albeit not a mechanical one) so I was really starting to doubt my training, experience, and sanity. I have no idea why people are leaving reviews for this product saying it is easy to assemble, unless the design has been somehow changed and the dimensions are now screwed up, but the one I got COULD NOT BE ASSEMBLED. Nevertheless, I tried and tried in vain before giving up. Luckily my daughter had other presents, and so it wasn't a complete disaster of a day, it's just I spent £130 to be made a complete divvy of on my daughter's birthday – do you want that to be you? So, I cursed my luck, and cursed myself for trying to buy a better than rock-bottom-of-the-price-range basketball hoop, and endeavoured to return it. Unfortunately, there were yet more problems. The seller seems to be located outside of the UK and uses a fulfilment centre to handle their orders. What this means is I had to pay £20 to return a defective item! And wait in all day for my own courier that I had to book. I was assured that this £20 would be refunded, but it wasn't. But, whatever, I'll take it as a £20 lesson not to buy absolute garbage products on Amazon any more, especially from third-party sellers. So, my advice to you, dear reader, is DO NOT BUY THIS BASKETBALL HOOP! It's absolutely doggy-doo-doo. I got an alternative, brand-new one for £48 on a certain auction-flavoured-website that is only as rubbish as this, and was actually loads easier to assemble, in that, it was achievable, and now we have a functioning basketball hoop. Do not be deceived by the springs and additional price of this hoop, it is the same as the ones that are much cheaper elsewhere. I'd really advise you to get one of them for around fifty or sixty quid before spending more money. Caveat emptor in full effect!
