Stunning Faux Tin Ceiling Tiles
I am absolutely in love with these stunning black 24x24 faux tin ceiling tiles! They completely transformed my bathroom and gave it the decadent, industrial, finished look I wanted. The detail and texture look high-end, and they were very easy to cut, which made installation a breeze. I used Tough as Nails for adhesive, and it worked perfectly since the tiles are not too thick or heavy. They went up beautifully with zero issues. The tiles add so much character and elegance to the space ~ I could not be happier with how they turned out! Far more affordable than the real thing, yet they look just as good!

Well worth the price
4 had a chipped piece on the corner but the chip was in the box. I was able to hide those spots during installation. I still give Five stars because they are thick and look beautiful in person. I have had them for 6 months now and remain very happy with the purchase.

Vintage Look
Bought antique copper tiles for my bathroom ceiling. These are not heavy, good light weight for installing. Easy to cut if needed. They do not have a stick back for applying. I first tried to use a liquid nail but it was messy and hard since I was applying over head so I followed advice from others and continued to use the liquid nail (lighter application) and hold the tiles in place with upholstery nail heads in the corners for an antique look. Great coloring, great size. I love it! I have had so many compliments and requests for link.

Looks great, difficult to work with
I painted my tiles a hammered copper (there was only white black and silver when I bought them). That made my installation process so much more expensive and difficult, but the results were good. I recommend avoiding the hammered-look type paints because it required several coats of paint (about a full spray can for 3 tiles). The hammered copper (rustoleum) had a lot of color and texture variations between cans. As others noted, there was some color variations in the white (unpainted) tiles between the boxes. Personally, I would not recommend painting the tiles unless you reaaallllyy want a specific color or tone. These tiles have about a half inch depth to them. Regular scissors can cut it, but the tiles can crack as you cut. I didn't have the recommended J-scissors, so I used a Dremel rotary tool, which created a lot of plastic dust. I ended up rinsing each cut tile to remove the dust. Due to the 3d depth of the tile, if the cut edge is not sitting flush against a wall, the surface under the tile will be visible. I recommend painting the surface under the tile at the cut edges so it's noticeable. I glued the tiles using loctite power grab heavy duty. Unfortunately, my ceiling wasn't totally flat, which was complicated by the fact that these tiles are pretty rigid. I had to nail one side of the tile down in the areas where it wasn't flat. I glued the full edges of each tile, the center ridge, and dabs on the inside diamonds. I was able to do about 7-8 tiles per tube of loctite. It took a lot more effort than I anticipated, but I'm happy with the product and the results.

lower quality
I don't have any idea how or why this happened but I ordered tiles from THE SAME LISTING that I did previously and received tiles that look like lower quality version of the original ones. These tiles are NOTHING like the original tiles I ordered or what is in the picture. I have to repackage the whole thing and send it back now. WHAT IS GOING ON OVER THERE? They are thicker and do no match the other tiles I have installed. I need ones that ACTUALLY MATCH THE TILES I ORDERED PREVIOUSLY. DID ART3d SELL THEIR COMPANY?

If you’re doing a backsplash or need to cut holes in it, read this!
REAL REVIEW: Note: I wanted these to work SO badly and was really looking forward to the end result. That being said, I’m disgusted I wasted my entire 2 days off when really I knew by the first day that I should just give up. They are very pretty though I’m not sure anyone would mistake them for actual metal. And they weren’t terribly difficult to cut although they could definitely be brittle in places, especially corners. Also, curves were kind of tough. But what I wish had been pointed out to me beforehand was : What are you going to do around outlets and light switches?? I bought a matching trim which, strangely art3D doesn’t seem to offer (?) and which cost the same or more than the tiles (again, ?) but it would never have worked around the outlets. The pattern is so thick you either a) don’t have outlet covers or b) have the actual outlets 1/4deeper than the plates or c) have the rough open edges where it’s cut showing or finally d) build a frame to cover the rough edges. I tried to do this last. And maybe had I known this ahead of time I could have been more prepared and had or made something awesome. But I was already on day 2 after cutting the pieces. I tried to build a frame with scraps and edges but it just didn’t look as good as I would have wanted. Again, maybe if I had known this ahead of time I could have done better but by that point I didn’t have : more days to waste on it. So please just keep that in mind if your project requires any kind of neat opening in the actual sheet. Wish it could have worked though. It didn’t look as cool as I imagined it would but still could have been a decent backsplash.
