CLOUDLINE S8, Quiet 200mm Inline Duct Fan

I've owned this for 4 years now and probably only used it for 2 of those years. I bought it alongside an T8 and they both worked in tandem to extract hot air from the top and side of a grow tent that basically housed 2 crypto mining machines. These worked perfectly and would turn on or ramp up when the temperature in the tent got too high thanks to the sensor. I could also control it remotely from work in the city. They have been sitting around for a good 2 years and I was planning to sell them this summer to make some cash because it seems like they hold their value. Mine are pretty much pristine still. However, with this heat wave, I have been using this S8 to help extract the warm, humid air out the window from my workshop garage when I go in there. And tonight, as I write this review, I am using the T8 to suck in cold air from outside in to my very hot computer room on this hot summers night. I'm basically writing to say that these are currently the best fans in my household at the moment. They are both basically making the environment habitable. If I had set these up probably with the ducting tubes, I would be in paradise. Great products.

Bought it for a DIY Air Purifier, and it's extremely powerful on max settings. Looks good too, it's well made. I'd order from them again when I aim to get a humidifier.

I read the reviews before buying, and i've got to agree, this fan is very powerful on full power, even on the low speed, there is very good air flow. its very quiet on the low speeds, came fitted with a UK plug.. very happy with this purchase.

This is crazy powerful, it will literally take off if not held down. It has single handedly resolved my heat problem on my rig. Absolute must buy for miners. Quality is excellent, noise is acceptable. A+

Did not come with a remote as said in ad and is the speed is set to max so can’t actually use till I get a remote to control it but over all a great product

I was planning to use the unit to boost air flow across a HEPA filter (got excited about the "booster" part in the title). I expected more airflow at the output than I was getting (air flow reduced about 3-fold at max setting). I will keep the unit b.c. it is affordable, and it has speed control; will use it to test 12" panel filters. Will need to get a centrifugal unit to use as a booster in an HVAC duct.

These are a serious bit of kit for the money. Gave 3 star for noise as they are noisey but doubt you will find one out there that isn't. It sounds like a jet engine about to take off before you even get to full power. I've brought the ac infinity silencer to reduce noise and its still to loud if want to take it above the 3rd power setting. But for me I find setting 3 more than enough for a 2mx2m set up. Would definitely buy again and would definitely recommend. Would also recommend buying silencer aswel though

I ordered this unit to be able to recirculate the air within a room through a furnace type filter. I was positively impressed with the quality of this product. It looks nicely finished, simple and elegant. The wiring and the connections are of high quality and workmanship. It has a smooth acceleration, is vibration free, and quite. The speed controller and the temperature/humidity are nicely implemented, easily programable and very versatile. The temperature/humidity sensor is also well designed and easy attachable to any surface. The ability to add a second fan to the same controller is another nice feature. I am very satisfied with this product.

The 8” inline duct fan moves a huge amount of air while still being surprisingly quiet thanks to the EC motor. The 10-speed controller makes it easy to fine-tune airflow depending on the temperature load, and I’ve noticed a big difference in keeping my miners cool and stable. Build quality is excellent — sturdy housing, smooth fan operation, and the controller feels responsive and reliable. The fan works great and has a wide range of performance that allows you to run this thing at any speed between silent and very loud. I use mine as part of a DIY ventilation system for an old apartment and it provides loads of air movement and static pressure. At full blast, I measured its power draw at 165 watts. The fan is notably very efficient and can still move a surprising amount of air at its lowest speeds with around just 5-10 watts of power usage. (Though you won't be ventilating a whole space at that level.) One thing to seriously note though: This fan can be a real safety hazard if not used correctly. It should really have some feature to kill the power easier since at full blast this fan will happily consume any nearby debris and probably result in injury if you were to get your hand in it. There is no built in grill or safety screen. The controller allows for the selection of 10 speeds, but requires you to loop through to the highest speed before it will shut off. Additionally, when you remove the controller by disconnection, the fan defaults to FULL power. I had an incident where the fan swallowed a bag of small screws and I had to hastily chase down the power plug in order to shut it off. I guess as a testament to its durability though the fan didn't seem to suffer any damage. I have since included a shutoff switch in-line with the power cord.
