Great pack (nicad) for testing servos

I ended up using this all season and then let a fellow flyer borrow it for a few seasons, and then he returned it. Now, several seasons later, it still works great!

For the price and the weight and mAH rating these appear to be the best on the market. I have not reviewed these yet. I have a large RC plane that weighs around 25 lbs and not sure if these batteries will have enough mAh. My old battery pack was a HdiMax 3600 mAh that powered the larger servos and old futaba reciever 72 mHz. These are supposely 2000 mAh and these have the most mAh i could find. I update this review as I test these.

I bought this battery because it met the 6 volt specs I required for radio control receivers. Electrically it meets my expectations. However the battery packaging is not very rugged and the wires seem fragile. However I have not had an issue because of this yet. The radios and servos work well with this 6 volt battery with better speed and power than with 4.8 volt batteries. The battery capacity is rated at 2000mAh which is twice the capacity of the batteries I am replacing. The weight is about the same as lesser capacity packs. The price is good for these ratings.

Works fine. But users should know that the modern battery chargers--designed for LiPo and LiFe batteries also charge NiCad and NiMh batteries. But those modern chargers "time out" after an hour, and you'll not get a decent charge in a NiMh battery of this size. The old "wall wart" chargers that came with RC radios circa 2000 work best. I've also found a dedicated NiMh charger that plugs into a USB port.

This is my 3rd or 4th time I have ordered these same batteries. They function very well.

El producto es asequible y representa una buena solución para el Radio Control, especialmente en Radio Control para superficie, el producto luce bien y esta bien terminado, como toda batería necesita su cuidado y un trato apropiado, se carga muy bien y se comporta bien, es claro que cada persona debe crear su opnión al respecto del producto. Considero que por el precio es una buena alternativa para seguir impulsando el hobby del Radio Control a un precio razonable. La batería la instalé para un sistema Futaba de 3 canales que alimenta a un receptor y dos servos para un Carro Carson de Nitro escala 1:10 Alemán, sin problema operó dos corridas de 15 minutos y todavía mantuvo un buen nivel de carga. Recomiento esta solución para reducir el uso de baterías alcalinas. En el largo plazo es una solución más económica, usen un sistema de carga de buena calidad, de esos que se anuncián como cargadores multi-chem, es decir para diferentes tipos de baterías NiMh, LiPo, Ni-Cd, Pb, etc. Suerte y a divertirse, solo se vive una vez...
