National Geographic Kids Everything Mythology: Begin Your Quest for Facts, Photos, and Fun Fit for Gods and Goddesses

The kids really loved this book. Following suit with the Nat. Geo. series the bright pictures and easy to read text make the book engaging for the boys. They find it fun to read the facts and constantly be like "did ya know?" Or test each other on knowledge to see if the other has read that part of the book. I know mythology can be a bit dark for kids but this book does a good job at not touching the dark parts while still being informative. This book is mostly for kids 5-8ish. The 10 y/o thought the book was boring, but the two boys age 6 and 8 loved it. Definitely for kids who are into more non-fiction fact type books. If the kid enjoys more long story based books they might not like this as much

Perfect for my middle school mythology classes. After reviewing this one copy, we ordered 20 so each student would have a copy to read from. The students enjoyed the brightly beautiful illustrations. The content was good for them in small chunks for discussion. I would highly recommend to any teacher who needs a small text book to help describe the different world mythologies.

Nat/Geo books always make a great gift. They are colorful and full of interesting information. My granddaughter is studying mythology and is very interested in the topic. This will be perfect for her.

This isn't a bad book, just wasn't what I was expecting. It is clearly geared for kids. Bright colorful photos and artwork, lots of pop culture references and tie ins, and they cover myths from many different societies not just greek. It's fun, it's entertaining, but not the book you want it your goal is to teach them the fundamentals on greek myth.

My daughter loves Greek mythology. She loved all the pictures, stories, descriptions. She couldn’t put the book down.

I have been teaching mythology to my students and this book has been an absolute godsend. I reference this all the time when we talk about things like gods and monsters. It is very clear for my students to understand.

My son loved this book and couldn't put it down. Kept coming back every few minutes to tell me something else new he learned!

My daughter told me they had started to learn Mythology at school and she was very interested. Then she asked me if I can find her some interesting books. We're a big big fan of National Geographic books. Of course I first searched the Amazon for National Geographic books and guess what came across with this book. She loved it. And after reading this, she started explaining to her teacher at school and she is 10 but her teacher is amazed. And she asked us what we are doing with her and how come she has a vast knowledge about science and all topics at school. All thanks to National Geographic and the time we had been spending with her to read the books, discuss the books. The books are easy to understand even self explanatory, great illustrations or pictures. Besides good for the school grades. So what could parents want more. Highly recommended.

This book is a bit too cartoony for me, but my daughter enjoyed it. The national geographic book of greek mythology was a preferred choice - better more complete stories.

Good gift

I was looking for an introduction to mythology for my 6yo, and wanted something that covered a wide range of different cultures. This National Geographic book is ideal, with colourful and engaging pictures, just the right amount of text and useful information. Ideal for looking at together and learning more about myths.
