Marantz CD6007 CD Player

In a world of streaming, physical products are a welcome reprieve. Compact discs are reliable, cheap, and collectible. There is something to be said for not having every possible option at your fingertips all the time - and listening to your music on CD or vinyl is great for that. Of course, you need a reliable, solid, excellent sounding playback device to make that work. And Marantz has always been, and continues to be, a company that manufactures high quality, reliable, and excellent electronics. When it came time to buy a new CD player, the CD6007 was the only choice for me. It is built like a tank, sounds great, and has a simple, easy to use interface. It was a great choice, and I intend to purchase additional Marantz audio products in the future.

For classical music, I cannot imagine a finer, more magnificent, faithful, undistorted sound. Separation between the instruments, their sounding, is distinctive. No bells and whistles, none needed! If you are a sound-and pitch-perfectionist, this unit is for you!

After watching several YouTube reviews for the Marantz CD6700, I thought I would give it a try. I have a DENON AVR S970H. A WiiM Pro and using Roon with Qobuz streaming service. I also have Polk XT20, XT30 and XT90 speakers. This is a excellent setup so I was a little sceptical that the sound would improve but it was a huge improvement. The sound was rich and pure. Not only did the CD's sound great, my USB drive with some music in FLAC format sound excellent. If you're looking for a high quality CD player, you won't go wrong with this Marantz CD6700.

Marantz discovered musical magic with their cd players from the very beginning. Their early models allowed harsh cd's to sound more like phonograph records. I replaced a 24-year-old Marantz changer that I have loved, but it does not begin to compare with this single disc player. I was astounded at the level of detail that I had been missing in my cd collection. The instruments and vocals came alive with correct timbre and balance; sounding much closer, I am guessing, to what the recording engineers intended. Piano music sounded as if the pianist was playing in my listening room. Hi-fi for us poor folk is all about upgrading one component at a time, and reveling in the stark improvement it makes for years until you can afford another upgrade. Replaying every cd you own to appreciate the music anew is a joyful experience. I can't really speak to the 6007's value for the money, since I have not compared it to other brands. I do not use all of its features; I just play compact discs, so it is quite expensive for doing only that, but my ears tell me it is worth it.

This unit is heavy duty. Much heavier than any previous CD player I've owned. Sound quality is very good. I needed a new player as my old one broke. I still have CDs wanted to be able to continue to play them as they seem to be on their way out. A little pricey, but it seems like a quality piece.

Perfect for my setup. Packed nice and tight, good thing because the Amazon driver took a 600.00 item and balanced it on a 6"x6" plant stand . Good thing I knew he was coming and grabbed it before it hit the ground. Too lazy to walk it 15' to the front porch (covered).

DO NOT PURCHASE! Received brand new cd6007 and it played one cd and now does not recognize that cd or any other. Zero stars! Unfortunately, I had the machine for a few months before I was able to hook it up to my new system. Therefore, there’s been a lot of time passed by and it only has played one CD. I welcome reply from Marantz, you hear?

I knew that buying this Marantz CD player might have been a mistake. Now I am saving my pennies to purchase the matching pre-amp (Marantz PM6007) as I chase down the budget minded audiophile hole, like I need another expensive hobby. But I am glad that I did buy this one. I never knew that CDs could sound so good, hands down far better than any other CD player that I have ever listened to before. It was like leaving the kiddies table and joining the adults. The soundstage and fullness of what I heard blew me away, even with significant hearing loss from the army. The Marantz CD6007 was worth every penny, and then some.

Prodotto magnifico e, se abbinato ad amplificatore del marchio, il telecomando funziona su entrambi i dispositivi. Peccato non legga titoli dei CD audio come i vecchi. I titoli appaiono solo su formati MP3 ecc.

Acquistato tramite Amazon da Solomusicaonline. Arrivato con 1 giorno di anticipo. Subito collegato con uscite analogiche al sinto Yamaha. L'audio è eccezionale sia con cd originali di varie annate, sia con cd masterizzati da me.
