Is this rack difficult to clean? Does protein, fat, and skin get crusty and stuck in the "squares?"

I have so far only used it to cook Bacon and have done so on several occasions. I have found it to be a little more difficult to clean because of the tiny squares but repeatedly running a sponge over the top and bottom of it has done the trick for me. I don't have to use anything to go between each of the squares.

Hi Coleen! Thank you for your question. We had this produced in China with our own specifications and standards ensuring excellent quality and safety. The factory uses high grade 304 18/8 stainless steel which means it contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel. The nickel content enhances the surface layer and improves the corrosion resistance of the stainless material. It will NOT rust under normal household use, unlike lower grades of stainless steel.

can this be used in roasting boston pork or beef?

Yes. That's what I use it for. I get a better "cook" with the meat sitting above the pan.

12-15 depending on the cut of your bacon
