All All-Purpose Powder Detergent, 52 Oz Box

I bought this detergent for a couple of reasons. First, In an effort to eliminate at least some of the plastic making its way into our house I decided to give up liquid detergents. I tried one of the eco-friendly detergents that come in sheets, but they just didn’t dissolve well in cold water which is what I generally use (I would find pieces of detergent stuck to the side of the washing machine drum). Second, my 4-year-old granddaughter suffers from terrible eczema that leaves her skin feeling very dry and itchy. I had a feeling that my detergent choice wasn’t helping matters, so I decided to go old school and return to a boxed, powdered detergent from my much-younger days. I picked All in the hope that it really would work “for sensitive skin”—and, lo and behold, I think it’s making a difference! We’re seeing clearer skin on our little one and she has stopped complaining about her clothes bothering her. I use it as instructed (i.e., not too much) along with OxiClean Dark Protect to help preserve colors, and I do a second rinse to be sure all detergent is completely washed out. Clothes come out noticeably cleaner than with the eco-detergent, unscented, and soft. I’m really pleased. So, this is a win for both reasons: no more plastic bottles and nice clean clothes. Bonus: cost per load is so reasonable.

Expensive and hard to find, but this is a great laundry detergent. Powder laundry detergent is very hard to find at local stores or even by mail order. The SendASnack Seller seals each All 52 Oz box so that no laundry powder gets in the shipping box or on other items packaged in the shipping box. I really appreciate this and will continue to buy from this seller. I have ordered from the seller multiple times. The detergent arrives in about a week and so far they have not lost the package or delivered it to the wrong address. With this All Purpose Powder Detergent, you determine the amount of powder placed in your washing machine for each load. It cleans a variety of different clothes at different water temperatures. I have used this All Purpose Powder Detergent for many years, and it doesn't clog my washer or leave residue/stains on the clothes. I hope they keep selling this detergent. The detergent is in a box and not a plastic container, which will fill up the landfill for years. I really recommend this laundry detergent.

This is a great, well-priced laundry detergent -- without harm to the environment and heavy perfume so many have. I use it for something other than dirty clothes too -- it's a fabulous moss remover and preventer! Sprinkle moss with ALL and let the rain do the rest or, in dry weather, give it a light watering. The moss will be dead in no time and won't return for a long time. What really surprised me the last time I used it was that the groundcover next to it, which I couldn't completely prevent from getting "ALLed," did not die, while the moss around it did!! Now, I can't guarantee this will be true of any groundcover and plant, but so far my experience is that it's killed only the moss. You do have to be sure to use the Free and Clear type, of course. So, ALL gets your clothes clean and fresh AND removes moss from your concrete!!

I got this detergent mainly for my babies cloth nappies, though I use it for a our household laundry. We have iron hard water and liquid detergent just wasn't getting the nappies clean enough. This powder cleans well and it doesn't irritate our skin - I especially have super sensitive skin, I cannot use most any big brand detergents as they make me super itchy. Both All powder and liquid are fine for my skin. My baby has never had a nappy rash, and her nappies stay clean and fresh with no smells or stains with this detergent. One thing to note. It seems this company is not in the habit of providing scoops. Which, if you're not going to give your customers a scoop, then put measurements on your boxes!!! I emailed their customer service. *** For those who care, it's a 1/4 (quarter) cup for regular loads, and 1/2 (half) a cup for large or heavily soiled loads. *** I bought a cheap set of metal cup measures at the dollar store. And just keep a quarter cup measure in the box. Problem solved. One thing I've learned about this detergent is you don't want to use too much. If you use more then the recommended amount or more then the load needs, your clothes will come out feeling rough/stiff. I was using too much until I got the measurements. Now using the correct amount I get clean clothes and nappies that feel soft and don't have any residues from too much detergent. Also, using the correct measurements, my box is lasting a hell of a lot longer. We are a low scent household, and pretty sensitive to heavily scented products. This detergent does have a smell. I wouldn't consider it a fragrance though, to me it has a 'soap' smell. I notice it in the box and when my laundry is washing, but don't find it lingers on our clothes/nappies/bedding once it's washed and dried. However, compared to something like seventh gen unscented, this has a more noticeable smell. The packaging is simple to open with the pull tab. And I really like that it's one less plastic thing in my home. Overall, I'm happy to use this detergent. I grew up in Europe where liquid detergent is much less common. So it's nice to have finally found a powder here in the US that I like and doesn't irritate our skin. Glad it's back in stock, too!

This is great detergent. Doesnt bug my allergies. But it is hard to find because they dont make it any more. And im not paying almost $80 for 1 box

It is truly hypoallergenic! I tried some laundry sheets that claim to be good for sensitive skin but broke out in a itchy rash after using. All is great and comes in paper box. Not as convenient as sheets but it works as claimed.

This is a great product that seems to be discontinued. I would love to see it on the market again. I’ve used it for years as it cleans well, does not have a strong smell and does not cause rashes or itching as some other detergents do.

Ok. I'm a little embarrassed to admit I had forgotten about powdered detergent. I thought I had ordered more laundry sheets. First liquid is heavy to lift and makes plastic waste. Then I tried pods but they don't always dissolve completely leaving oily stains on your clothes. The same thing with laundry sheets. So I actually ordered this by accident and couldn't be happier. Power comes in a cardboard box. Less waste. Easy to add amount of detergent you want. I'll never use anything other than powder again.
