Next Level Racing GT Lite Foldable Simulator Cockpit (NLR-S021)

This setup is great for anybody who wants to get a little more serious with sim racing, I have probably about 100 hours in the seat with multiple games and I don’t have many complaints! I’m 6 feet tall and it is slightly cramped for my legs even on the farthest settings but it never gets uncomfortable. This thing is great build quality and I haven’t noticed much flexing besides forwards and backwards if you’re to pull or push on the wheel with some force but nothing left to right. I’d like to see some backrest adjustability as it’s a little too far leaned back for my taste but my fix is putting a pillow between me and the chair and it brings me to the perfect level of lean. There are no cushions so your butt will get a little sore during long sessions but for the price point it’s definitely something I wouldn’t be concerned over. The folding aspect could be better if you keep your wheel mounted but it’s better than not being able to fold it up. I would have also liked an extension on the shifter plate for a hand brake but if you’re creative you can make it work with some heavy duty zipties LOL. All around a great racing sim for the price and Id definitely recommend to ANYBODY looking to get more serious about sim racing! Hope this helps somebody make a decision! :)

The coolest, funnest, and realistic gaming toy I’ve ever experienced. It’s like driving fast sports cars and more. My son bought this for me, yes me, grandpa! I stopped playing video games many decades ago. I’m very active for a senior, so my sons encouraged me to play games and enjoy life live life while you can, lol! So I did it, I made myself play gaming again and I love it. I play about once a day for an hour and it is FUN! The system is made high quality great views, and a reasonable price. Very easy to operate and I’m big, I fit in the seat perfectly it adjustable for us bigger old guys. It came wrapped up tight in boxes. Delivered in less than a week by far!!!.

So long as you are not completely braindead, you can put this together in an hour or two. Some of the fits are pretty tight and require some persuasion to go together, but that's preferable to parts being loose. The build quality is solid. This is no premium seat by any means, but for $200 I'm impressed. There is a bit of chassis flex when you really crank on the wheel or brake hard, but nothing that stands out as intrusive on the racing experience. I would not recommend putting a wheel on this that generates more than 5-10Nm of torque, you'll likely end up causing premature wear and tear on the chassis. Now, for my only genuine criticism: The box looked like it went through an active war zone. I have never, ever, seen a box from any company look as rough as this one. Dents, holes, and tears all over. I wouldnt be surprised if one of the shipping vehicles flipped over and dumped its contents onto the road. It's nothing short of luck that the actual product came out unscathed. Still giving 4 stars as the seat itself was ultimately okay and my experience with shipping may have just been an anomaly. Just mentally prepare yourself for a return if you purchase this. From what I've heard, Next Level Racing have great customer service, so it's still absolutely worth the purchase.

This is the best folding racing chair, period. Super solid construction, no wobble when you're using it, it's easy to get in and out of, and is fairly customizable to fit players of many different sizes. If you've got the Logitech shifter, it doesn't REALLY fit that well because the folding hub is in the way of the shifter mounting point. Some other shifters probably fit better, but I was able to mount my logitech with a single bolt and the clamps keep it in place. Not an issue, just seems like an oversight. The hubs are really easy to use but they do make folding the chair a bit more difficult than I'd like. Next Level Racing offers a video instructional on how to fold the seat, but they don't fold it the same way as it's folded on the marketing, which is strange. It DOES fold up nearly flat with the wheel and pedals mounted, but it is awkward. Again, it's not a major issue because it does work, but its confusing that they would photograph it folded a certain way and then give instructions to fold it in a different way that makes it less compact. Wire management is lacking, but I'm not sure there's much to do differently. I used small velcro straps. TL;DR - this is a FOLDING chair so there are going to be compromises made. It will never be as good as a stationary setup, but this is the BEST product for anyone who doesn't have enough space to devote to a permanent solution. Compared to 'other' folding chairs, this is an amazing value. Some suggestions for the manufacturer: A lumbar pillow would make a great accessory, I find that I am much more comfortable with a pillow, this could just be a personal preference but the option of adding a matching pillow would've been great. Would LOVE to have a nylon drawstring bag to slide over the seat when it is folded up. The included strap helps keep it from coming unfolded but a drawstring bag would be a cleaner way to store this when not in use.

My very first rig; delivered earlier than expected; no damages and no missing parts from the package, extra fittings provided for mounting the wheel, pedals and shifter; straightforward assembly as long as you know how to follow instructions; very sturdy and leveled, no wobbles during gameplay; the steering wheel mounting bracket actually swings out to the left for entry into the cockpit, which I think is pretty cool; a world of difference from using a controller when playing Gran Turismo Sport & 7. There's quite a few rigs out there to choose from, but I'm really glad I chose this one - not too expensive and doesn't seem to be cheaply made either. I highly recommend this to those of you who are seeking a decent rig. Just a few things to be aware of: The seat isn't designed to be comfortable especially after a few hours of gaming. Use pillows or seat cushions to remedy this, or you can get up and do some house chores before getting back in there again. Make sure that everything is tightened just enough and locked in before getting in the cockpit, pay close attention to details on the instruction booklet. If you have cats or dogs...well, you'll find out ;)

overall, it’s a really great product. The only issue is the steering wheel does need to be locked in. It still moves a little bit if you don’t lock it in so you gotta make sure the plastic thing turns and clicks in the groove seat is very comfy and wide and good for male 6 foot and around 200 to 300 pounds the pedals and the steering wheel fit nicely and a good seating position and putting it together took around 30 to 60 minutes. It comes with all the hardware there’s a few spots that may take a little while to finesse, but it’s well-made and well worth the price.

Been using NLR wheel stand lite mount for a while now, but its kinda gone out on me, so decided to treat myself to the full thing, thought the folding design concept would be great due to my limited space inside of my room. Was super excited to use it, then was super disappointed using it. First of all, putting it together is takes about an hourish if ur a bit slow like me, but i got it together, folded it up, and went on with my day. Later that night, unfolded it and started setting everything up, pedals on, wheel base sadly clamped on due to moza lol, and everything wired up. Hopped in, and the pedals were to close, so pushed them back, closed the wheel mount thing, and the wheel was way too close. Now here comes the problems, when u attempt to adjust one part, like the base mount, or shifter mount, or the chair itself, everything else decides to go along with it. I found this out rlly fast. I spent 2 hours tinkering with it, trying my very best to get it setup to be comfortable for me, and eventually just settled on something that was doable, and hopped in EA wrc, excited to beat sum pbs. Racing was good, everything was relatively sturdy, but wheel was still way too close and chair was getting uncomfortable. Did a couple stages and decided to call it a night instead of messing with the rig anymore. Got off work the next day, decided heck, ill give it another shot, maybe i can make it work. Spoiler alert, i couldnt. The design where everything is adjusted via the same "gear" area or whatever, proved to be the most annoying thing ever. Plus, due to the size of each gear, u couldnt get an accurate adjustment. So the wheel is either a foot away from ur chest, or hitting ur legs and is too far away. The seat is difficult to adjust, and in adjusting it, everything gets messed up, causing u to have to readjust everything back to how u just had it. Speaking on the seat, what the crap, the pads make no sense, they dont support anything or cushion anything, the fabric is odd, and its get uncomfortable after 30 minutes(im 6ft 200lbs, so may be the problem). Idk what the heck they were smoking in NLR, but i want some. Because this thing has got to be the worst design ive seen. I do not recommend this to anybody honestly, especially if u dont want to end up with anger management problems after a day. Im a big NLR fan, but lord have mercy gents, yall couldve done something better than this. Like seperate the gears so when u want to adjust something like the base mount or shifter mount, the entire thing doesnt want to fold in on itself. Now i plan on getting there more expensive, semi foladable victory cockpit or whatever for 299, but please dont buy this one, or the more expensive version either bc im sure it has the same problems. Now sorry for the rant, love NLR but this is not it by a long shot boys. Returned after a day of owning. Dont buy

This isn't a compromise worth accepting. Assembly itself isn't too bad, but everything beyond that is frustrating. The chair, wheel mount, and leg adjustments are all interconnected, so making any change without a second person to help is a real hassle, and that's before you've attached a wheel or pedals. With those installed, folding or moving the rig becomes nearly impossible. Once set up, it does work, and it's reasonably comfortable for what it is. If the folding and adjustment process were improved, it would justify the price. As it stands, those issues outweigh the positives.

Great entry level cockpit that is extremely ridged for something that folds down! I have a Logitech G923 mounted to mine and I have no issues whatsoever.. just a heap of fun! While I have no issue with product, I did have an issue with ordering the product through Amazon AU. They used DHL as the courier service and after a week my package never came. After a lot of back and forth with Amazon support, my purchase was eventually refunded and I was able to go down and get JB Hi-Fi to price match them. If you are on the fence about getting the GT Lite, don’t let me poor experience with DHL deter you from purchasing this! It is definitely worth it, but consider avoiding using Amazon.

It's a great entry level rig. The only problem is that there is no space to install a shifter and handbrake at the same time. Can be fixed with additional metal plates though.

So, if you're like me you bought a nice wheel / pedals / shifter kit and then realized how terrible it would be to play using your normal gaming chair. In short, it doesn't. At all. And I thought about making my own chair but thought about how rediculous that would be. So I decided to buy a purpose-built chair for my wheel and driving rig. I settled on the Next Level Racing GT Lite (Foldable) for one key reason: I wanted the chair to be movable. While I'd love something solid, the reality is that this chair will have to move and frequently, so the lightweight frame of the NLR-SO21 was appealing. The box arrived and it's a 2-person box or 1 person if you're reasonably strong. Hopefully you're the latter. I'm of average height, weight and strength. How about that for a guideline? Assembling this thing by yourself is akward at best. The largest struggle was screwing in the main frame. It was a struggle, and it sucked, but eventually I assembled the thing. I have the Logitech racing wheel / pedals kit and it suits the NLR-S021 just fine. I used wire ties (purchased separately) for cable management. The chair itself slides out pretty easily at a few key areas, so it's usable from people sized 6"3 down to 5" or so. It folds, too. Although truth is I don't expect to fold it much. Once you're in the thing it's comfortable enough, but here are some things to be aware of: - the seat doesn't recline. That's suboptimal, but the current recline setting is comfortable enough. - the shifter attachment doesn't properly sit my Logitech shifter for some reason. I've made it tight enough, but it's not 100% perfect. It just doesn't align with the screwholes in a way that accommodates the unit vs. the chair itself. - the seat is low and it can't be lifted to any significant degree. So if you're going to be playing at a desk, try to make sure the monitor isn't too high. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase given the price point of the alternatives. I appreciate that the NLR-S021 is light and easy to move and it's secure and comfortable for the purpose. However, the shifter - with it not sitting strong - is a structural weak point against more demading shifter games. I'd recommend this for an entry level purpose that would be used by a single user or user(s) who were of similar size. While it's easy enough to adjust to accommodate users of different sizes, chair adjustment is also not without effort. While there are other, likely more comfortable chairs out there, this one wins for my purpose: light, comfortable, affordable, structurally sound for my reasonable usage.
