Great supplemental book
My initial impression as I skimmed this book was not that great but as I began to read closer I found it to be an excellent source for understanding and learning Portuguese. I have been using it in combination with Duolingo and am finding it to be very helpful. So glad I have it!

Easy to learn
My brother in law is visiting Brazil and wanting to have a basic understanding of the language. He said the book is very helpful and his trip went great and he could understand a lot!!

Decent phrase book
I'm trying to learn another language and pick this book because it seemed like a good place to start. My favorite part about this book was that everything in portuguese was spelled out phonetically as to help out with Pronunciation. Now I am the master of this language and all that encompasses it. Okay, that last part was an exaggeration. This book does give you a good idea of the language itself but shouldn't be the only source if you are really wanting to be fluent in the language. If you are taking a trip and just need to get by, then this is for you

Eu Falo Portuguese LOL
I have not finishe d reading it, but so far I like the detailed info I am getting. It does its best to simplify Brazilian Portuguese. It sounds the word out ina easy to read way for example. Onde=Where Sounds like ON-JEE. In Portuguese De sound Like the english letter "G" Well i hope to learn more as I continue to read it. It is a good investment but I wouldn't relie just on this book. Use it with other tools.

this is really good as like a guide to learning Portuguese, but definitely wouldn't rely on just this. its great to keep on you for a quick read or for help.

Not of Portugal, Portuguese. It's for Brazilian. Which can be a lot different.
Beware of where you plan on using Portuguese. If in Brazil, this will be fine as that is the type of Portuguese in it made for.

Nice to give as a gift

pronunciation is wrong
This book is useless. The way the words are pronounced in writing will not help. Nobody will understand you. For me not worth a penny.
