A bit of a skeptic at the start... but after multiple testing with Bluetooth/Wifi/KeyFob... i can say that it really really works. Impressed to say the least

I have bought several "faraday shielding products" from Mission Darkness. The materials used and the quality of manufacture are consistently of high quality, and if you follow the bag sealing instructions this product provides full shielding for mobile devices as described in the manufacturers blurb. After extensive testing with a variety of wireless devices, I found this Faraday bag to be effective when properly sealed. In my experience, it successfully blocked or heavily attenuated cellular, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and many other common wireless signals. One observation from my testing is that low-frequency access-control systems may behave differently. A passive 125 kHz door access fob was still readable. This does not necessarily indicate a defect, but users who need protection against specific RFID systems should test their own devices and readers. I found that closure quality is extremely important. A fully folded and carefully sealed closure consistently performed better than a partial or uneven seal. Small gaps can make a noticeable difference. I would encourage users to think of this as a precision shielding product rather than an ordinary storage pouch. Like any flexible product with a hook-and-loop (Velcro) closure, repeated opening, closing, folding, and carrying heavy devices will eventually cause wear. The closure system and fold areas are likely the most stressed parts of the bag. Some suggestions that may help maximize service life: • Fully align and seal the closure each time. • Avoid unnecessary folding and creasing. • Avoid lifting heavy devices by the top seam alone. • Prevent devices from sliding around inside the bag. • Consider using a snug-fitting box or insert inside the bag to reduce movement and flexing. • Store the bag clean, dry, and protected when not in use. Overall, I found the bag to be an effective RF-shielding solution when used correctly. The shielding performance was impressive in many tests, but as with any flexible Faraday bag, proper sealing and careful handling are important for maintaining performance over the long term. Make sure to put phone into airplane mode and turn Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off to avoid battery heating. Avoid the cheap generic faraday bags which do not work from the start. Get a Mission darkness bag! For max protection you could double bag your phone. Place phone in smaller cell phone faraday bag and then place inside larger tablet faraday bag.

This bag is perfect for a smaller tablet, like the Surface Pro that I have. This will block signals that could be used to target for theft. Even so, consider setting your device to 'hibernate'. The bag seems well insulated so you wouldn't want any compute activity that could trap heat, especially during summertime. But the item is very well made, performs exactly as advertised, and I would purchase again.
