Worth every penny
This adapter provides a stable, hardwired connection when Wi-Fi is not fast enough for heavy law school research. It is strictly plug and play, requiring no software installation. The weight is negligible, making it easy to keep in my bag for campus. Given the excellent build quality and consistent functionality without any drop-offs, it offers solid value for money. It’s perfectly versatile for numerous uses (keeps me from having to use like 3 other dongles)

Perfect for connections from my Android phone.
Works great on my Android (uleFone Armor 21) phone to get me an Ethernet connection. I use this at customers' sites to test in a port is working without digging out my laptop. Quick and easy. Plug in the adapter, connect the Ethernet cable, turn off WiFi and Cellular network connections. The phone then gets a DHCP address and is ready for testing.

Keeps Home Network Running During Cable Outage
Using the Anker USB-C to Ethernet adapter for frequent Cable Internet outages in my area. This allows my home Wi-Fi to continue to function, especially for my Wyze security cams that utilize cloud based events and cloud AI, and Wyze light bulbs and other smart home devices. Simple to use with these steps in case this helps anyone: - turn Wi-Fi off on device, only use Cell Data (I'm using Google Pixel 9 Pro) - Unplug ethernet from modem and plug into adapter, plug adapter into device - On device go to Network > Hotspot/Tethering > toggle Ethernet tethering on - restart router - restart any network devices not automatically reconnecting Obviously you don't want to stream or do any heavy Web use while ethernet tethering a home network over 5G, but it will keep critical and Web-dependent devices running.

Update: Can't recommend
Updated review (couple weeks later): I bought this adapter and the Amazon Basics USB-C to Ethernet adapters on the same day for two different ethernet lines I was installing at the same time. The Anker one is so wobbly, it's consistently dropping out of the USB-C port. If I wiggle the cord or move my laptop at all, the Anker will disconnect and my internet connection will drop. So here we are, even though I hate having to say anything positive about Amazon, the fact remains that the Amazon Basics USB-C to Ethernet adaptor is better than the name brand Anker (and it's cheaper too). The Amazon Basics one has a nice snug fit in my Macbook Pro's USB-C port — it doesn't fall out of the laptop when I pick up my computer and move it around or wiggle the line at all, like the Anker one does. So I contacted Anker to discuss this. They wanted me to mail them this adapter that I purchased on Amazon and then after that expect to receive a replacement from them 7 days later. I should have just came to Amazon to handle that placement. But regardless I'm probably just going to replace the crappy wobbly Anker adapter shown here with an Amazon Basics one since it works better, was cheaper, and I don't want another loose Anker adapter to replace the existing one. 🙄 Original review: • Bought this Anker USB-C to Ethernet adaptor, as well as the Amazon Basics USB-C to Ethernet adaptor. Both seem to work equally well and equally fast. • Combined both the Anker and the Amazon Basics USB-C to ethernet adaptors with the Smolink CAT 8 ethernet cables. (Love that it came in a flat white cable with bright orange plugs.) It's just Day #1 right now but so far I'm pleased with all the items in the setup and my much faster-than-wifi internet now. Don't know why I waited so long to do this. :)
