Addition to revew, original below. There have been no problems in the last two years and the lock has continued to work perfectly, both for ourselves and the window cleaner. A very good purchase. i probably need to lubricate it again, as I do with shed and garage padlocks. I never got round to fabricating a rain cover. Original review......... I fitted the locking bolt and it worked well for a couple of months, but then the in-garden side key barrel jammed and it could only be opened from the out (alley) side. I removed and dismantled the unit, oiled and worked it well and have refitted it. I am fairly sure the in-side key lock barrel bearing surfaces were corroding and that this caused the lock to jam, bot I didn't dismantle the barrel (too many little pieces in those, from my experience). We'll see if it lasts. I shall probably fabricate a rain cover to go over the bolt and in-side key lock.

Nice and secure to use on my gate and fairly quick and easy to install despite a few hiccups but they were mainly down to my gate being wonky. I like how they give you 5 keys as I’m not sure you’d be able to get them cut but I could be wrong? The lock comes with a golden plate which goes on the other side making it look more sleek. My only complaint would be that on the inside part of the lock it is springy so is a bit fiddly to remove the key whereas on the other side this is not the case. I’m yet to see if the lock rusts as it has just been installed but will provide an update if it does. Overall I would recommend as it seems very sturdy and secure for the quite fair price!

More rubbish from China sold by Amazon to make a quick buck. Less than a month old and the lock has failed. Still works great on the outside, key is stuck and will not turn on the inside.

Great lock well made easy to line up using template provided but the flat bit seemed a bit blunt maybe it was just the one I received it needed lots of pushing ..but lock works fine from both sides over all it looks the part instructions do say to keep the lock oiled

Great bolt but it’s spring loaded and the spring has broken after 6 months

Easy to fit and initially worked great. Now after 6 months the lock refuses to open on the inside. Opening from outside is good, smooth and works well. Inside it opens (sometimes) but refuses to lock. So when you open, go in, close the gate… you can’t lock it!! How do I return? Consumer law 12 months etc etc— supplier changed no hassle now 5/stars

Installed it today. Looks and feels sturdy. Installation took about 20 minutes. Finally able to leave home/garden with the bike/scooter without having to walk around to close the garden door. Very convenient. Only downside I can mention, is that I have to push the key whilst turning to lock or unlock on the inside.

J'ai acheté cette serrure pour un portail extérieur. La gache longue a guidé mon choix. Elle remplie son rôle. Cependant, le petit ressort qu'on sent en enfonçant la clé ne m'inspire pas trop et donne une sensation de fragilité. Je mets malgré tout 4 * A voir si cela est mérité dans le temps...
