The Best
I have used the Aqua Rain every day for over 1 year. I have still not needed to use abrasive on filters, but I have washed the insides of both SS containers and all filters inside and out with dilute hydrogen peroxide. Only done this once about 6 months ago when the water started to taste a little off. That solved the taste problem. The water from this filter system tastes excellent. This is the best water filter I have ever used and I feel this is a great value even though it is fairly expensive. It is worth every penny.

12 years and going strong
Aqua Rain Water Purifier I have had one of these for 12 years never a problem and i do not look after the unit other than pour water into the unit. Still on the original filters cleaned them twice. Saved a lot of money on bottled water to. Steve.

Poor Quality
I purchased an AquaRain unit and had the same experience as the other reviewer. My bottom unit split in THREE places and I could no longer fit the upper part over it. This was after only about two years. AquaRain refused to replace it, saying that this was very uncommon. Well.. apparently not that uncommon. They offered me a very small discount on a new unit... almost full price. LISTEN TO ME... there are a lot of reputable gravity filter manufacturers out there that would replace a split stainless canister... ok? Because it shouldn't happen. The housings for these filters should last a lifetime if not abused. AquaRain used to be inexpensive compared to other gravity filters but that is not the case anymore. You can get a better deal on a quality product. My feeling is this... if they can't manufacture a steel can that works, how much confidence do you have in their filters doing a good job?
