These are awesome!!!
I wasn't sure about these so it took me awhile to buy them. I wish I had bought them sooner. My gosh, it cleans my clothes and they smell great. For my first load I located every dirty, stinky item I could find. I put the clothes in, put the ball in, and hit the wash cycle. I couldn't believe it when I took them out. Every piece of clothing smelled so clean. I was so surprised. I'm never using detergent again. It's been almost a month and I've never been happier. They are so easy to use. I had just purchased a huge container Downy and I haven't had to use it yet. I use dryer balls as well so I'm very happy. I didn't know they also clean the machine and pipes. So far, I'm in love with them. 5* A+

Replaces detergent
These detergent replacer washing balls are great. Add a little of Oxy Clean and laundry is great and no smell!

Great alternative to chemical detergents
I first "charged" them in sunshine, per instructions. They worked well with lightly and medium soiled clothes. Clothes came out bright, clean and odorless. Even better if I make sure any crustiness from food, dirt, etc., is removed first. I washed a dirty mophead using them and it got most of the dirt out. Where I find I need to resort to detergent is if there are oils stains. Pretreating does not seem to be enough to make sure the stain is removed when using the balls. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Saves money on detergent
Saves a lot money and cleans clothes better than detergent. You also won't have TT o worry about whether your washer rinsed all the detergent out.

Money saving
I have saved a lot of money on laundry detergent using these. I do not get my clothing heavily soiled or a lot of stains. I also do not use them on my kitchen towels or bath towels or dirty scatter rugs. They last a long time. Fragrance free

Great agitator for side loaders
Works well as agitator. Maker says can use without detergent.yes you can however, for a use or 2. If run out of detergent. Yes it works,BUT recommend baking soda and vinegar for undies. Why? Because bacteria doesn't die with just cold water. You get itchy down there, when put on "clean "undies. Recommend use with detergent.

Falling apart
To my surprise these balls leave residue in the laundry and soil my clothes. I bought them 2/11/26, now the material inside the balls is falling apart and getting on my clothes. I would not buy again.

Eco-Friendly Laundry Balls: Promising but Problematic
I tried Eco-Friendly Laundry Balls once, adding Downy scented crystals to ensure a pleasant clean smell. I was pleased with how well they worked — the clothes came out fresh and clean. The idea of eliminating detergent and all its packaging really appealed to me. However, the balls left some grit in the washing machine, which made me worry about potential wear and tear on the washer. As much as I like the eco-friendly concept, concern over the grit has kept me from using them again.

Easy well washed.
As someone who is allergic to most washing powders and liquids I find these perfect. They wash every bit as well as any detergent and are so easy to use and store.

I really don't know...
I've saved money through less washing detergent, although I still use softener. There is no scent otherwise and it feels like you haven't washed the clothes. It's a mental block I think. Anything stained still requires a pre treatment as it would with a normal detergent. Will continue to use, but still sat on the fence. I should really do a standalone test for a more informed review...

I like them
Much prefer these to washing powder or liquid , we live in hard water area , I do use them both at the same time though . I would day that my microfibre dish-cloths always end up repelling water , it just bounces off them when under the tap, whether the laundry balls are to blame I dont know Been using these , or ones like them for years , it must stop the washing machine pipes etc getting blocked with powder

Works as expected!
I’ve used laundry balls for years. They last for ever and so a good job of freshening up clothes. These ones are good quality and come with a refill. They don’t come apart in the wash as the new ecocover ball does. A few tips 1) add cleaning bicarbonate soda or soda crystals to the wash as well as this softens the water and just helps with sweat smells especially in gym gear 2) don’t expect it to act as a stain remover or to bleach!! You still need to treat clothes as you would using other detergents 3) I personally don’t leave them in the machine as suggested as they can smell so I always take them out between washes/open the machine for a day before I put them back in
