KNORK Original Fork Set - Single Piece Stainless Steel Flatware, Silver Gloss Finish, Packaged in Clear Plastic Tube

My old flatware that I inherited from my mother has gone missing over the past few years and I was in need of a fork. I had one fork for several years but I wanted an extra one. Looked around Amazon and wanted to get something that was at least supported by a US manufacturer. Take note - this Knork was originally released in *2004*, so that should tell you about the longevity of this brand. I bought this Knork mainly for the fork option, and yes the weighting on the Knork is very different. It's heavier on the fork end and lighter on the handle end. As a fork, it does take a few meals to get used to, but all in all it still works well as a fork. For cutting, I tried this on some well done steak and yeah, it didn't get me much results. It was great for veggies and bread though. Smart design. These Knorks are essentially "quality of life" in a fork. It has a nice thick area right above the tines, which lets you use your index finger to really dig into the thing you're cutting. It also has a nice scooped shape which makes it easier to pick food up like a makeshift spoon. Knork seems to sell full flatware sets so I might buy a basic set from these folks because they have a good idea going with this. As you can tell, this is a great flatware for folks who have difficulties with a hand or arm - this allows for one-handed eating and cutting. Well done on Knork for creating something that helps these folks as well!

Best forks ever made! Without being sharp, it cuts through the most difficult foods.

Everyone should own a knork! They are heavy duty & cut through food without difficulty.

The fork was fine, but there was no sharp edge. The supposed knife edge on both sides was almost as thick as the handle. A disabled person would not be able to cut soft bread with this tool. It's quite heavy too. It should not be advertised as a knife or a tool for the disabled. It would be very useful if it were sharpened and had a sheath.

Beautiful but not much improved in cutting ability.

I don’t use it regularly but I like it. Works great for lasagne and semi firm dishes that need a little extra strength “side cut” just not a knife.

Because this fork is heavier than the average fork, it has some value to folks with some tremor in their hands. The edge of the fork is shaped to function sort of like a knife for cutting some types of food. I’m 80 and it’s okay, but I can do just fine with a normal fork.

Great fork! Nice size, heavy duty, fork. I like the look of it, it doesn’t look like your regular run of the meal fork. It has a good weight on it, nice and thick and easy to clean.

I have little use of my left hand and love this extra sharp fork As a knife I don’t find it sharp enough but also love the plastic case it comes in. Best of all maybe is that it doesn’t look adaptive.
