Ticonderoga My First Tri-Write Wood-Cased Pencils, Pre-Sharpened

My ALLLLL time favorite I have no complaints with this product, it is strong and easy to use. It writes smoothly, little kids, big kids can use it comfortably! The size is especially suitable for pre schoolers in helping with fine motor skills. The colors were vibrant and children will love the triangular shape and the pretty colors, it erases well no marks are left behind from the eraser. And it was worth every penny spent!

Oh! My students LOVE these pencils! From kinder thru 5th grade. I teach small reading groups and use these pencils in class. The kids Iove the large size, the triangular grip that is easy to hold and thr colors. I love that the kids are excited about writing with these pencils, thr pencils help children form a good writing grasp, are developmentally and physically appropriate for young aged children, and thry don't roll off into the floor. I taught 12 small groups a day and used the same 5 pencils for a whole semester without them getting too small. They're a win-win!

You could never go wrong with Ticonderoga! I loved using these with my first graders and helped them transition after winter break to standard pencils. The colors are fun too. I like to use one color at each table to make sure students know which pencil is theirs.

These are going to be perfect for our summer writing activities! My son just turned 5, will be a rising kindergartener so we want to be sure to keep those PREK4 skills sharp and ready for the big school! They came pre sharpened and ready to use!

I buy these for all my kindergarten students to start the year. Many don’t have quite the fine motor skill to hold a regular sized pencil with such ease as they start school. With the triangular shape the pencils don’t roll away and it is easy for me to teach proper pencil grip without the need of a finger spacer on the pencil. It also a little harder for kids to break these ones since they are bigger and sturdier. Why my kindergarteners like to break pencils, I’ll never know. But these have saved my sanity on that level too. Plus the bright colors are fun! And from the picky teacher side…Ticonderoga pencils are the best in general so I’m glad they make these triangle shaped ones!

Ticonderoga pencils are my all time favorite writing pencils. You know in preschool and first grade when you were learning to write your alphabets, your name and numbers, you HAD to use those big "husky" pencils. My Mama was a clerk before she became a Secretary. I could hardly wait to use the Ticonderoga pencils like she did. But of course, she taught me how to write my name with a Husky pencil. Ticonderoga, I think, just started offering the "My First" Ticonderoga pencils a few years ago. Now with the My First Tri-Writes, I think the "wee ones" will have a better chance at developing their writing skill a lot faster. Now with the neon-colored pencils, they can be fancy too. I enjoy the traditional yellow and green colored ones the most. Who could forget us Secretaries favorite role model Della Street on Perry Mason who used them for dictation, as well as (I think) that poor guy who ended up as the "Incredible Shinking Man" in the movie of the same title. Don't you love those early visual effects of black and white movies and television. Anyway, the quality of the Ticonderoga pencils are topnotch no matter what color or size they may be. This retired secretary gives the pencils two thumbs waaay up!!

These pencils are perfect for first time users. The thickness helps you hold onto the pencil better. The quality feels amazing and it lasts more than a normal pencil. The harpness of the pencils are perfect.

These are the serve me long pencils for my toddler and worth every dollar and the ergonomics for starters is superb, Wheatley top notch and easy to sharpen and thick.
