How well does this work on fine, fragile hair? I'm looking for a pro dryer that will help smooth/reduce frizz. Thanks!

I have super fine hair and this dryer doesn't make my hair frizzy. It also adds lots of volume and dries my hair very quickly. My mom has even finer hair and has been trying to bribe me for my Rusk....

what's the difference between the Super Freak and the Speed Freak besides button location?

I own the Speed Freak and it is much heavier than the Super Freak my stylist uses. I tried hers out to compare and like the super freak much better. It was easier to maneuver and handle while drying and actually seemed to dry my hair faster becuase I wasn’t fussing with it in my hand the whole time. Also, the button placement on the Super Freak is much better. With the Speed Freak, I find myself accidentally changing the heat settings while drying because you have to hold where the buttons are located and it’s easy to knock them out of place. It drives me crazy! Wish I could return my Speed Freak and exchange for the Super!

Does the cool shot button need to be constantly pressed to stay cool? Or can you press is once for cool, then again for hot?

This has both a "Cool" shot button and a switch that is for "Cool", "Warm" and "Hot" settings that will stay in the position once switched there until you decided to change it. The "Cool" setting is actually pretty cold.
