Useful as expected.

Cards came on time. Installation is easy, and cards perform well.

What they don't tell you about this card is that it is not assignable to the legacy ISA bus address space. Legacy printer ports communicated over ISA bus and had a base IO address of 0x378 or 0x278. Most software designed to use the legacy parallel printer ports are hard coded to use this address space. Thus, these programs will not work with this device.

I got this because it says it runs with linux. Mind you it’s not some odd distro it’s the most common distro on the planet Ubuntu 20.04 LTS So I downloaded the linux driver for the card and the very first step of the instruction for compiling the driver FAILED~!!!!! I called tech support. The guy ended up asking me about my kernel then insisted that my kernel was the wrong and that’s why. I got another tech guy who seemed like he was trying to help but he got hold of the prior transcript and handed me the same mealy mouthed nonsense. So on linux ubuntu 20.04 LTS This CARD IS NO GOOD AT ALL~!!!!! it does work well on a windows OS. ::::::::::::::::::::::::::EDIT::::::::::::::::::::::::::: I updated my kernel NO JOY~!!! So the nonsense they were giving me about the kernel was either gross ignorance or lies I can't say which. But StatTech does not have any cred with me. I won't buy their garbage.
