have they corrected the instructions and reference cards??

Got mine Jan 2015, everything is perfect and playable. The only issue is the the 4 reference cards that are used to list the "safety", "hazard" and "remedy" options, not actual playing cards. Simply cross out those three words and write it in correct, not an issue as they are not actual playable cards, only a card that lists options

Yes, for the most part. I've been playing the game for years, so I find it easy. The instructions are straight forward, and there are cheat cards for the stops and safety cards. Hands down one of the funnest games I've ever played.

Is the item pictured different than actual product? I remember a card game in a tray with "25", "50", "75", etc not "River dragons"

It looks like the wrong images have been uploaded. This used to be correct, so I assume someone made a mistake.Since we do sell it and have it in stock, I can state to you that it is (and should be) the Milles Borne card game produced by Asmodee.I will make a request to Amazon to replace the images.Dave

Does it come with the card tray?

Yes, it comes with a card tray - but the tray is very thin, flimsy plastic and not very usable. We use the original tray from our old set.
