Welding Hood

For the value of the money, this is a great addition to your welding gear. For the value for the money, it was well worth the purchase for me as I particularly use this for grinding. The size is a one fit all which is great. This is heat resistance as sparks from grinding metal have not penetrated through to burn me. The functionality is wonderful, one of the best things they invented as I dislike metal dust or powder coat dust on my neck. It keeps you clean and protected for burns and sparks. I convinced several coworkers to purchase this product and they loved the idea behind it. I still use this product almost everyday since I have purchased it.. It really has held up to it is made of good material. It's not super heavy or super light.It's like the perfect weight. It is comfortable to wear besides looking ridiculous but it is well worth the money.

It's a bit big on me but I'm a small guy so that's expected but it feels so nice to wear plus the quality of the leather is very nice. If you have long hair though, i would suggest wearing something under since the inside lining is more for comfort and not holding your hair in place😹

Works well as intended. I have long and thick hair down to the middle of my back and when I put it in a scrunchy, this fits perfectly. It has 1 strip of velcro across the bottom which holds fine

Very nice. Much nicer than expected. A little extra room around the noggin for those that wear a larger hat size then standard this should work. I got this to throw in my welding bag to have when I can’t wear the full helmet. I can just use this with welding goggles and be protected.

If you have a bigger/thicker neck, this will be tight on you. Its a good quality product, but definitely not a one size fits all. Easy to use. Functions properly. It is not heavy. Good value.

Having used the hood, your head gets hot while using it (of course it does though) but in terms of protecting your head from sparks and slag, this is the best hood I’ve ever had… (for reference, I MIG weld all day for a living)

I got this for one reason, overhead. It's so worth it and while yes it can get very hot in it better to sweat than to get burned. It's really great since no problems with welding helmet fitment. I have not used this with a hard hat(I'm a student) however once I get one I will update on how well it fits Works ok with a hard hat, you may need to leave the hood open under you chin if your hard hat has a chin strap. It's does like to slip at times however I would deal with that inconvenience than not wear this

For me this is way too big, bulky, and a nuisance. If you're welding in one position and don't have to move your head a lot it might be fine but I'm constantly welding on the move. It created fog inside my hood also. It is indeed for cold climates as it does keep your head warm and will protect you from sparks, splatter, weld heat, etc., but just not a good fit for my head and the area that velcros together is overkill. Good design for some but not me so I'll give it to one of my co-workers that might like it better.
