GENIO S PLUS

Easy to use amazing coffee love it

Working perfectly.. i love it... highly recommended

Great coffee pod machine that's easy to use, easy to clean, has a wide selection of coffee/non-coffee pods for purchase and doesn't take up much countertop space. The XL cup function is perfect for filling up my 350ml Tefal travel mug. The machine came included with 4 boxes (2 boxes each) of coffee pods (Espresso and Grande intenso, 32 pods each). All in all, it was 64 pods in total. They're both great coffees. Unfortunately, the Grande intenso was near its best before date (I think 13/12/2022 if i remember correctly) while the Espresso was already past it's best by date (28/11/2022). I received my machine on the 29th of November 2022. I'm not too concerned since they're both plain coffee (without milk or added flavors) and the pods themselves are hermetically sealed (similar to Nespresso capsules), but that's no excuse for a brand new machine with boxes that cost around AED 30 each when purchased separately. It's the sole reason why I'm giving a 4 star rating for an otherwise excellent product.

Easy to use and robust built. 👍

Great coffee machine with small budget, i been using it for long time and its great.

After one year used, it's perfect 👌🏻

I like this machine and its very easy to use and clean after using

The Dolce Gusto Genio S (or S Plus/Touch, as the features are similar) is an outstanding machine for its price point and size. It has genuinely changed my morning routine for the better, but it's not without a few small quirks you should be aware of. The Pros (Why I Love It): Compact and Stylish: It takes up very little counter space and the design is sleek and modern. The automatic operation (just slide in the pod and hit start) is a huge win for speed. Versatility and Taste: The 15-bar pressure really does deliver a decent crema, especially on the espresso shots. The variety of drinks is fantastic—from strong Americanos to milky lattes and even cold brews and hot chocolates. The coffee shop-style drinks are surprisingly good for a capsule system. XL Functionality: The ability to easily select a larger drink volume (XL) is perfect for filling up a travel mug on the go. The Cons (The Truthful Bits): Water Tank Size: The water tank is small (around 0.8L), which means I have to refill it almost daily, sometimes twice if I’m having multiple cups. This is the trade-off for the compact size, but it's a minor hassle. Pod Cost and Waste: Like all pod systems, the cost per cup adds up, and the fact that the pods aren't readily recyclable in standard household waste is a major drawback. I wish they had a more accessible recycling program. Maintenance: The machine is prone to clogging if you use hard water and don't descale religiously. If the water flow starts slowing down, you have to clean the piercing needle (a little fiddly) and run a full descaling cycle. This is typical for pressure-based pod machines, but worth noting. Overall Verdict: If you want the convenience of a coffee-shop menu at home with minimal fuss, and you have limited counter space, the Genio S is an excellent purchase. It makes great-tasting, hot coffee quickly. Just be prepared for frequent refills and be diligent about descaling to keep the flow strong. Highly recommended for the everyday user who values speed and variety.
