Peeling potatoes, fruits and vegetables is an arduous task that nobody looks forward to. I purchased this device years ago and was absolutely amazed that it worked so well - to the extent that I ordered another and gifted it to a relative in another country. The device is simple - stick your fruit/vegetable into the pointy holder at the bottom, lower the upper holder, place the cutter on top and press the red button. Your food will be peeled in a uniform fashion and more often than not in a continuous string of peel making cleanup so much simpler than before (anyone remember cleaning starchy potato peels out of the sink? I do!). In fact, I typically place my peeler on the counter and guide the peel into a trash can on the floor so that as the peel is fed out gravity pushes it straight into the trash. A year or two after purchasing we got an expensive mixer and bought the peeler attachment. We don't have a large home so it made no sense to keep both. Assuming that the new (and much more expensive) peeler attachment would do a solid job we gifted our old peeler to a family member. Boy, was that a mistake. Not only was the mixer's peeler attachment a pain to set up, but it was far inferior to this wonderful little device. The peeler attachment would miss giant chunks of peel, required fruits/vegetables to be certain dimension to peel (the spring was not strong enough to peel thinner food) and was so inconsistent that we ended up buying this peeler for the THIRD time. This is a really handy device. If you don't enjoy peeling food (who does?) or have dexterity issues or any issues that make using a manual peeler difficult then don't think twice - this is the gadget for you! Highly recommend!

I LOVE THIS GADGET!!! I HATE peeling potatoes and apples. I won't eat either with the skin, but this gadget peels potatoes and apples in just a few seconds time. The only negative is that it doesn't get the very top or bottom - but I just cut those slivers off and proceed. This is a lightweight, easy to move, very effective tool. For me, it was a great buy and offered fantastic value for the money. It simplifies my life in a way that I can truly appreciate. I literally have eaten about 10 times as many apples since buying this because it can peel my apple in about 10 seconds.

Sweet mother, do I hate peeling potatoes. I hate it more than I could ever say. I'm a mother of 4, and I cook for 6 people everyday. My husband loves potatoes, so much to my detriment, we have them a lot in all their various incarnations. And I hate them so hard. So, so hard. So, having pretty well had it after the kids broke the hand crank apple/potato peeler from Bed, Bath & Beyond, I scoured Amazon and found this little gem. Does it work? Hells yes! Is it durable? Probably not, unless operated by someone other than my kids. It came today, and even using it for the first time, it shaved 45 minutes off the time it usually takes me to peel by hand. Would you find this in the kitchen of a 5 star restaurant? No. However, I'm cheap and lazy, so you will find it in my kitchen. Tried it out on potatoes and an apple today, and worked as expected. It doesn't get the tops and bottoms well, but did you really expect it to? Nor less, does anything? I'm chopping it anyway, I just cut those parts off, not any real extra waste, and less than peeling by hand. Problem solved. I did have a good laugh at the instructions, though. You can pull out the food holder to clean it, so it's the first thing I did. The food holder is described as extremely sharp. It's pointy, sure, but if that's what you call extremely sharp we need to cull you from the herd. My kids have pointier and sharper toys. (Ever step on Lego in your bare feet?) As for the blades, I'm not dumb enough to stick my finger in there to see how sharp they are. I can just tell you that when I removed it to clean it, I didn't cut myself. Also, the "thumb knife" is a chintzy plastic wedge. Seriously, don't buy it for that little accessory. Do buy it because it works, if gently used. Edit: As others have said, the on/off button broke after a couple weeks. I now have to plug it in to peel and unplug when at the bottom of the potato. Still faster than by hand, though. 11/28/19 Edit: It finally died. Plugged it in and nothing happens. Nice while it lasted, I guess.

I wish I would have bought this years ago. Zips right through peeling potatoes. Easy to use and clean. Faster than I could peel.

Ordered this to save time on Thanksgiving and it was a godsend! So simple to set up and to use that I didn’t even have to look at the manual before hand; easy to clean with removable parts and even has a storage container behind the battery compartment for extra blades. I like it can be used with the cord or batteries for a cordless option. Definitely worth the money, peeled the potatoes in half the time, the blade is efficient/sharp enough for potatoes with sprouts and the flexible arm allows it to perfectly peel potatoes of all shapes and sizes. . Does not tip or slide on the counter like other peeler products I have used. This would make a great hostess gift for the hostess that already has everything!

Bought my mom who has RA this. She absolutely loves it! It works very well! I will definitely be buying another!

Made pretty cheaply. You have to position the friuts/veggies just right, and sometimes it doesn't run the total length of the item you are peeling. Does work faster than a peeler sometime.....for now...lol. Let see how long it last.

Fast. But gets your potato or fruit much smaller

delivered with a 120v transformer in england (what are they thinking about } 240v in england since when have we had 120v .no use to me can not use it would like my money back or a 240v transformer.

Gerät wird mit amerikanischem Stecker verkauft. Kein Adapter liegt bei. In Deutschland nicht zu verwenden. Device came with American power plug. No adapter included. Unusable in Germany.
