Bought the 1st pair of these Thunderbolt Platinum Pro Knee Pads maybe 4-5 years ago (at a big box store) as a gift for my husband, to replace the worn out pair of “soft front” knee pads he was using while renovating our house. He absolutely loved them. He said that they had much better and thicker cushioning (gel + foam) and that the silicone front pads provided much more support and protection to his knees than the old soft knee pads he was using. The wide vecro straps stay secure, and are well above and below your knee so they don’t roll up or bunch up directly behind your knee. Now, he wears them all the time - anytime he puts his work boots on to work on a project around the house, he puts his Thunderbolt Knee pads on. In fact, he has worn the velcro straps out from wearing them so many times! We went back to the big box store to purchase a new/replacement pair. Unfortunately, the store no longer carried the Thunderbolt brand knee pads and only stocked “their own brand”. He tried on several similar knee pads while at the store and couldn’t find anything he liked as much or were as comfortable as the Thunderbolt Knee Pads. He asked me to “please find my Thunderbolt Knee pads online and buy them for me.” So here I am, writing this review. Can’t think of a better endorsement than my husband’s. Thunderbolt Platinum Pro Knee Pads are extremely comfortable, easy to wear, and are definitely durable. Well worth getting yourself a pair (your knees will thank me ;-)

These knee pads are solid and clearly designed for real work. The materials are durable and the overall construction gives confidence that they will hold up over time. The straps fit comfortably and do not slide around like many knee pads do. The higher top strap makes a noticeable difference and helps keep everything in place even with a lot of movement. The Velcro and straps are well made and easy to adjust while still feeling secure. Protection is excellent. These offer a high level of knee protection and feel sturdy when kneeling. I would not describe them as super cushy but that also seems intentional. You are protected without feeling like you are bouncing around on padding which I actually prefer for work. Overall these feel like knee pads made to last in hard working conditions. If you need dependable protection and solid design these are a good choice.

Bought these Thunderbolt double gel knee pads back in 2021, and let me tell you, my knees have been living in luxury ever since. These aren't just knee pads; they're knee penthouses with double gel cushioning that makes kneeling feel like resting on clouds. At first, I listened to the "tough guys" who said real men don't wear knee pads. Spoiler alert: Real men don't have knee problems either. After about a year of pretending my knees didn't ache, I wised up and started wearing these daily. Best decision ever; besides maybe choosing a career where I get to use cool tools and occasionally set things on fire (accidentally, of course). These pads have survived five years of abuse, my weight going from 210 to "let's not talk about it" pounds, and more on/off cycles than a light switch during a horror movie. The Velcro is still holding strong, which is basically a miracle since most Velcro gives up after approximately three uses. Fair warning though; if you work around metal grinding like I do, these will collect tiny metal fragments like they're souvenirs. Wear them bare skin in shorts without washing them first, and you'll discover what it feels like to be a human pincushion. Hand wash them occasionally unless you're into that kind of thing. Tried a cheaper pair when I temporarily lost one of these. It was like downgrading from a memory foam mattress to a pile of rocks with fabric on top. Found my original pair and my knees threw a party. These knee pads are worth every penny. Your knees will thank you, and you'll still be able to walk like a normal person when you're older instead of doing that old-man-knee-bend thing that makes everyone uncomfortable.

These work great. They stay up when you stand and are very soft and protective of your knees.

Edit: 3 months in and these are just like all the rest. I think I pull these up 50 times a day. What is unique about these, is the velcro is starting to attach to everything but itself. It’s really quite annoying. These are still some of the most comfortable knee pads I have owned, and I really like them...but they just won’t stay up! Wow, where have these been all my life. I have been working over oversized crushed stone In a crawl space for a couple of weeks. Crawl spaces are hard enough without sharp rocks digging into you. Knee pads are not one of my go to tools. I have had a pair for 10 years that have been worn but I usually just grab cardboard or something. I decided this would be a good time to pull them out. After a few hours, i quickly realized my old knee pads were better but still not comfortable. A few more hours and my iPhone was out shopping for knee pads on amazon. These stood out to me because of their Velcro extensions which has always been a problem for my. It’s usually a choice between constantly pulling them up or nearly cutting the circulation off to your feet. Probably one of the reasons I don’t wear them more. These are perfect...they are built more anatomically correct and flex in several areas — not just one hinge. What’s better I can walk with these on and not have to readjust them. These knee pads will probably be used a whole lot more because they work - they stay in place and the provide undeniable comfort. I cannot see how you could go wrong with these. Not only would I buy these again, I would recommend them to anyone.

Sin duda las rodilleras me sorprendieron, realmente la protección que va en la parte interna de tu rodilla se siente muy bien protegida y acolchado, no sientes que estas lastimando tu rodilla. Resistentes y se ajustan muy bien a la dimensión de tu pierna, me gusta que puede ajustarse de dos lados tanto de la rodilla como de la pierna, eso hace que no se caigan cuando vas caminado con ellas. Eso sí por lo mismo que se ajustan bien y el colchón de la rodilla vas a sudar un poco de esa parte, pero es normal. Práctico, funcional y resistente lo recomiendo
