This cutlery set is beautiful. It is classy, stylish and has a good weight to it. I don’t begrudge washing them by hand when I use them for special dinners at home one bit!

Summary update: New photo of the two knives. The new one is not just slimmer, its pattern feels almost non-existent, as if it's been worn down by years of usage. The spoons and forks do feel different, but not enough to matter, while the different heft of the knives is distracting. I'm not going to take off a star; I still like these. But anyone hoping to match an old set -- BEWARE. I used to have a full set of these, 12 of each, but lost 8 of the small forks and 11 of the small spoons in a move. (I think I forgot to unload the last dishwasher run, but I'll never know) All I could find on one was "Wallace", but no record in Amazon of having bought them. I've had them for a long time; 20-30 years? and I really liked them. The pattern on the handle is easy to clean yet prevents slipping even with wet hands. So I ordered two sets to get 8 more. It does mean more knives and large forks and spoons which I don't really need, but so be it. Well, they aren't the same. Close, and probably close enough; but they have changed, and they don't stack together perfectly. The knives especially have a much slimmer handle. So I weighed old and new. Boy did I get a surprise! old new --- --- 9.0 10.5 knife 5.0 5.6 large fork 4.3 4.1 small fork 6.4 6.2 large spoon 4.5 3.5 small spoon The new slimmer knife weighs more than the old fat knife! Same for the large fork, but the old spoons and small fork weigh more than their new counterparts. The knife handle difference will be hard to ignore. I don't know if I'll be able to tell the difference with any of the others. But if you have an old set and want more of the same, beware they may not match. You can see the knife difference in the picture, it's impossible to miss. Whether all changed at once, or in one step or many, I do not know. The new knives do stack a lot better in the drawer. I have half the old ones reversed just because those handles are so fat. I did remember to update this review. I do like the old fat handles, but maybe that's just because I am so used to them.

So cute and very durable, My silverware disappears like socks in the dryer, have had two sets for years they look amazing still. They are heavy and well made. You will love them.

I like them. I got them to go with an 8 place setting. I didn't realize there was a difference in the Tatum and Tatum Frost. Yikes! It still works for me.
