Slim Armor CS Designed for iPhone SE 2022 Case/iPhone SE 3 Case 2022 / iPhone SE 2020 Case/iPhone 8 Case/iPhone 7 Case - Black

I have had this case for about 2 weeks - for my iPhone 8. Previously I had an iPhone 6s with a flip case by Verus (imitation leather cover with 3 card slots and red plastic case) now VRS DESIGN. I have also used: iPhone 4s: Incipio NGP Case for iPhone 4 (Matte Gunmetal) iPhone 4s: Mokai Start PU leather wallet case (black) iPad Air 2: SupCase Unicorn Beetle PRO (2014 - black) I wanted a case to hold my ID and a credit card (I rarely have 3 cards with me). I like the wallet look of the flip cases but I wanted to try a more "tactical" looking case. I'm in the military and need to access my ID every time I enter the base and to log into a computer. I also work out and would take my 6s out of the wallet case to slip it into an armband to work out. I wanted a case I could potentially use to keep my ID and CC, and use while working out. The Spigen is a nice case. It is a basic case - does not include screen protection. I added a tempered glass screen protector (JEDirect). It fits very nicely on the iPhone 8. What I like: Fit. Perfect for iPhone 8. Feel. Nice curved edges. Feels good in the hand. Looks good. Nice, simple, clean design and look. Not bulky. Card door is high quality - it slides nicely and locks into place. Card security - after about 2 weeks I can tell the cards will not fall out if the door opens accidentally (highly unlikely). In fact, the cards might be too difficult to get out. Durability - in 2 weeks, I have not dropped my phone. After 7 years of owning smart phones (yes, I started with the 4s) I realize I am not a phone dropper. I have dropped my phones before but not with catastrophic results. My worst drop was with my 6s getting into my truck. The phone fell out of my hand at the door handle and onto the parking lot. The phone landed on the front bottom right corner. I thought the screen had a very small crack in it (turned out to be the tempered glass only!). I can tell this case would have no problem handling a drop like that. You would need to drop the phone directly onto the screen to break it. This case is fairly beefy for a simple case - it should hold up well (especially with a tempered glass screen protector). What I don't like: The cards are sometimes tough to get out. Nice for security but sometimes I struggle in the truck, at the base gate, trying to get my ID out. There is a little slot to get a finger in but I have to use my fingernail to lift the card up and simultaneously use my thumb to slide the card out of the slot. A lot of times the card will slip off my fingernail back into the slot. Only room for 2 cards. This might be because I have a Chase Amazon Visa (thicker card). Not a big deal for me but I couldn't have my ID, driver's lic, and credit card. Only 2 with the new, thicker CCs. Buttons are slightly difficult to press. Again, the case is well made. Sometimes it is tough to change volume or lock the screen. The mute button is sunk in and difficult to reach in my pocket (during a meeting if I forgot to silence it previously). What I do not know: How this works while working out. I bought an Encase armband for Spigen Rugged Armor (based on the website dimensions). I tried putting this CS case in the Encase - it kind of fit but I didn't try it at the gym. This case is fairly thick for a simple case because of the card holder. It would be difficult (probably impossible) to fit it into an armband designed for the iphone 8. OK, long review. I would buy this case again. I can feel the quality. It should protect the phone very well. I like the card holder even though the cards are somewhat tough to get out. Looks good. The negatives are small compared to the positives.

Had it for several months and this is the best iPhone case I’ve ever used. It’s slim, durable, and low profile—no one can tell I have a couple cards squirrels away inside. This has been a life changer for me as a forgetful person… no more realizing I left my wallet at home when the tap-to-pay at the store isn’t registering my phone!

Update: This is my third time buying this case, the first time it lasted me 2 years and I only got a new one because I got a bigger phone. The second one lasted 2 years and still works but my pop socket messed up the back so I’m getting another instead of trying to clean the gunk off. With the iPhone 11, the case holds my license and 2 cards so I don’t need to carry a wallet (it’s great!!). It’s super easy to open and I get compliments all the time when getting my card out. It fits great in my back or front pocket and jacket pockets. Once I took the pop socket off it works great with wireless charging, even with 3 cards in it. I’m currently trying to find a slim pop socket replacement because the case itself is more convenient with wireless charging than the bulky pop socket. I’ve continued to drop my phone all the time from every angle onto lots of surfaces and along with my screen protector, not a single bit of damage to the phone. The buttons on the side are easy to press and before I had a wireless charger, it was easy to plug a charger in. The case is so easy to remove and put back on. It’s so slim, if it weren’t for the opening to get my cards out, I would forget I have a case. I couldn’t ask for a better case and couldn’t imagine going back to anything else. Original review 2020: I had an otter box which works great but it was bulky. This I have dropped plenty of times including in a puddle of water and no issues with my phone. It’s light and compact. It took some getting used to opening the back easily but I feel good that it won’t slide open and my cards fall out. I can fit 2 cards. I tried three but I can see it bulging and I know it will fall apart faster so I just do 2.

Although Spigen has been around for years, this was my first time trying one of their cases. I was looking for something slim that could securely hold at least two cards without adding bulk, while still offering a solid reputation for drop protection. The Slim Armor CS didn’t disappoint. It comfortably fits two cards and can even hold three embossed (non-protruding numbers) cards, though it’s a tight fit at that point. The case feels sturdy and well-built, looks decent with nice color combo. Installation is fairly easy with a perfect fit on an iPhone SE. The lip is raised by about 1mm offering some screen protection should the phone drops on its face. However, I would have like the lip raised higher to offer better face-plant protection. Hence the four-stars. Value wise, considering what this case offers it isn't bad. If you’re searching for a durable iPhone SE case that can carry two to three embossed cards without feeling bulky, the Spigen Slim Armor CS is definitely worth considering.

Really liked this case for my work phone. Did the job of protecting against drops and didn't have an issue with the card holder door becoming loose over time. I only kept one card in there that was used somewhat often. It wasn't bulky at all and held together.

I've had this same case for 2.5 years now for my iPhone 7 and it is truly one of the most functional items I own, so much so that it's inspired by first Amazon review! I usually carry two cards in it (my driver's license and credit card) but sometimes squeeze in my student ID as well with no problem. After all this time, my same cards are still in great condition and have never been demagnetized by the case. Storage-wise, this case is extremely convenient for keeping things together. I always have my phone on me and therefore I also always have my ID and money too without the bulk of my entire wallet or bag. Everything fits on my person, so I'm always prepared for an impromptu run to the store or vending machine and I can take just my phone with me if I'm going to the gym or headed out on a run. Perhaps most importantly, it is amazing for safety. I travel quite frequently and have been to larger cities where I don't feel comfortable carrying a bag. Having everything I need secured neatly inside my phone case has been a lifesaver! One of my initial doubts back when I first purchased this case was that adding more functionality would be a trade-off for actually protecting my phone, but after all of my experience with it, I can attest to its exceptional phone protection as well! The iPhone 7 I've had all the while still looks pristine, despite quite a few high falls. There are no scratches or chips at all and the case itself hasn't suffered a scratch despite serving as actual armor. In conclusion, I highly recommend this case. After purchasing it, I've only ever purchased MORE of it for friends and family members who are dazzled by its performance. When the time comes to upgrade my phone, my priority will be to get a model which is outfittable with one of these cases by Spigen!

This case safely holds my iPhone SE-3 while the pocket on the back (with protective sliding cover) holds my driver's license and one credit card. Even though the listing says "Not compatible with Wireless Charging," I find that the iPhone SE charges fine with my Anker "PowerWave" wireless charging stand, shown in the attached image. Perhaps the Anker is more powerful than Apple wireless chargers and charges even through the cards. UPDATE: I like this case more every day. In addition to wireless charging, the case also allows contactless use of my credit card without taking the card out of the case.

This case was great while it lasted but it didn’t even last for 2 weeks. I specifically went with this case because it was functional and aesthetically pleasing. Other cases were a bit bulkier and I like how sleek and streamlined this one looks. I live in New York City and wanted a phone case that allowed me to access my metro card and other cards with ease. I was able to do that until I wasn’t… I’m now left with a broken case that is no longer functional. I disposed of my old case when this one arrived and regret that I did that. The cover in this case completely snapped off and couldn’t be reattached. I’m now left with a case with a recessed area that serves no function other than to attract dirt and dust. Very disappointing.

It is very robust and good quality. Does what it says. Remember, 2 cards maximum as described. Would recommend.
