I received the package quickly and it fit perfectly I was able to install them myself and get my PS3 working. The price is great and the batteries are good.if I had more controllers I would buy more

I posted some pictures along with this review. Seems like a pretty solid deal to me. You get 2 batteries, the necessary tools to open the controller, and a replacement mini USB cable to charge your batteries once it's installed in the controllers. I also used the iFixIt website to guide me on what to do just to be sure. Last week I found out the battery was dead after wanting to connect it to my PC and use it. I installed a new battery and it works just like before. As you can see in the last picture, the battery works and the lights were on and flashing like it was trying to connect to something. The 1st picture shows the replacement battery on the left and the original (dead) one on the right. As for how long the battery lasts, I'm not sure. However, the listing makes it sound like it lasts longer than the original, which I'm not complaining about. Just be careful when lifting the back cover off the controller so that the buttons don't come flying off. Also happy to say that it connected to and works just fine on my PC, though downloading and installing the necessary drivers was also required to actually use it. In my case, I used DsHidMini after being redirected from ScpToolkit, though there is also DS4Windows if you want to go the button remapping route. Both of these are open-source too.

I bought these to replace the other replacement batteries I purchased years ago and these are much better. The lead wires are just the right length to have enough wiggle room but not so loose that i have to stuff it in the controller afterwards. I'm glad they included a charging cable because my old one from Sony had a short in it. The screwdriver and pry tool were also a plus because I misplaced my screwdriver a while back and the plastic pry tool made it so I wouldn't damage the controller's shell.

The batteries work as expected so far - have not pushed to explore storage limits. However, the inclusion of the pry tool and screwdriver... A+. I want to express my appreciation for the facilitation of installation. ; - )

Easy to replace, exactly the same size and connector as the original PS3 batteries. The screwdriver and shim are really useful as well. I was delighted to see that the USB cable they came with will let you charge the controllers in parallel with the original charger on the PS3's front USB ports. I found PS3 controllers to be finnicky about where and how they charge. I bought 2-2 packs for my 4 old controllers and all were perfect. My old batteries were charging slow, dying fast and slightly bulged, so I'm glad to get rid of them.

I'm pretty torn on these batteries. The only real positive is that it's A) A battery for the PS3 controller B) Holds a charge and turns on the controller. That's about where the good ends. These batteries claim to be larger than the OEM at 1800mAH. After running them against my 10+ year old OEM battery, it's painfully clear these aren't even close. Seeing how cheap they were, I popped open one of the battery cases. It's a 500mAH cell - which is lower than even the stock Sony battery at 610mAH. It explains why the battery life wasn't really any different. I guess it's a bit of get what you pay for. The package was nicely put together, and the tools were appreciated even though a bit subpar, but the reason I bought the battery was to give additional life to my older controller with a bit of a spec bump, but it's worse. Also keep in mind, that if you have any of the revisions of the controller where the battery has the legs attached, this one just sort of has to be crammed against the board to hold it in place as it doesn't have the legs - I assume this is to make it compatible with as many revisions as possible. Maybe I got duds? Just odd that both batteries have the same issue. =( Edit: Revising to 3 stars as seller acknowledged their errors and provided replacements and offered to take the advice listed here.

I purchased this for my CECHZC2U controller after its internal battery started bulging and discharging. I had done research ahead of time on disassembly, but there were a few things that I had to do to get this to work. The kit is extremely comprehensive, tools included are a welcome addition, two batteries is an incredible value and the packaging is stellar. I was surprised at the lack of any adhesives, I think if the price was increased just a bit to include them it’d be an understandable change. Also my controller natively wouldn’t fit the battery in it, after making a few test fits I noted there are two “T” shaped structures that come out of the bottom of each analog recess, getting rid of these with a dremel (a wire cutter should be fine) will shave off just the few precious milimeters to allow the battery to sit horizontally just below the reset button on the PCB. Although see if your controller is the same as mine as some layouts vary. Doing this allowed me to reassemble painlessly, even getting the bottom middle to clear the battery and “snap” in ensuring a stock, perfect seamless fit. Great product, absolutely worth it.
