Dr. Ben destroys the myth of a "white Jewish race" and the bigotry that has denied the existence of an African Jewish culture. He establishes the legitimacy of contemporary Black Jewish culture in Africa and the diaspora and predates its origin before ancient Nile Valley civilizations. Review: Divine, Corrective. - Per the jewish hamitic myth, the white jewish race is dutybound to do wrong by the Black community worldwide. As such, it is no surprise that there seems to be a concerted effort to erase the Black foundation of Judaism. This wonderful book reminds the reader that the white jewish race is indeed a myth and that charges of anti-semitism levied against self-loving and community-loving African people is designed to perpetuate the white jewish age-old adage: the primordial purpose the Black body is to serve. Dr. Ben, the amazing historian he is, reminds the world that Judaism's most important revealer of God's truth was in fact an African named Moses and that he must cite the Black African Craft of Amun-Ra when teaching the world, the sacred Torah. Excellent must-read. Review: Who Puts Up The Barriers To Understanding And Why - The research is impeccable and the conclusions cannot be denied. Author Yosef A.A. ben-Jochannan impressively gets past the lies and false accounts that unfortunatelty has become religious doctrine to bring new meaning to the birthplace of civilization in mother Africa. With a focus on Ethiopia and Egypt, the two lengthy pamphlets that make up the book puts into proper perspective the rich sciences, technologies, histories and languages - written & spoken - that emerged from these societies. There is a special emphasis on the creation of the white myths that deny the black Jewish faith - for example, the real history surrounding Ethiopia's Black Messiah -its rightful place in religious doctrine. The research began in the 1930s, with material updated through the early 1980s. The layout is in pamphlet form from that era, which makes for a very difficult read. But the reader will learn through patience. In the Dedication, ben-Jochannan writes, "This aspect of the history and heritage of the Black Jews is dedicated to all oppressed African People whose religion differ from those who control the power of life and death over most of us. Out of this it is hoped that a better understanding between African People will prevail in spite of religious differences. Remember; Religion is Nothing More, or Less, Than a Belief. And That Any One Of Them Is As Godly As Another." As one, the truth shall be known. As one, love will truly reign supreme. As one, life, death and salvation will again have its righteous meaning.

This book is one of his master works that took him more then 10 yrs to write.(Dr.Ben)
One of the most grratest pieces of research the world has ever known. This book is more then worth the read. It's a fully comprehensive walk through history.

Original Hebrews
This book reads more like a research/reference book than a novel. That aside its an excellent work written by an indigenous African Hebrew. Deals with a lot of pre-history, long lost or never discussed in the classroom.

Very good content, though sometimes hard to follow
Very good content, though sometimes hard to follow. Overall impression marred by poor quality printing of the illustrations and photographs in my edition. This should be re-printed, also remove some of the unnecessary capitalised words - though I understand this was an academic style that some favour.
