Simple, Sturdy, Beautiful, Good Design, Plug n Play for Windows
I usually don't leave reviews right away, but this little bad boy is awesome. I bring my computer to work and need a discreet monitor to tuck in a corner of my desk. Obviously, the dual 980ti's are overkill for this little screen, but the picture on it is the same quality as a cell phone screen. It's crystal clear and sturdy. I needed something I could connect and disconnect 4 times a week without worrying about the connectors wearing down. I tried toher products and they felt like they were about to crumble in my hands. This is a high quality product. I'm playing all my mmo's and fps games on it at work on this little thing. It is only a 7 inch screen, but armed with an xacto knife I made the box a screen holder and I can sit it directly in front of my wireless keyboard. It blends right in with the other 4 keyboards I have at my workstation and can be hidden quickly if need be. I know this isn't exactly it's intended use, but my only gripe was that it didn't come with volt/amp requirements or a user manual. That way if I just wanted to plug it in the wall for power I would know how much juice it could take without frying it. However, with a one dollar USB extension cable I was able to connect the short power cable to the computer for power and much to my surprise the touchscreen was plug and play. While Windows 8 says it can't find a driver for it, the darned touch screen still worked. I was pleasantly surprised. I mean, I'll never ever use the feature ever, but it's still neat to know it's there. Lastly, the connectors on are the side. I tried portable 7" monitors with speakers, but the designers seem to love to put the connector on the bottom of them even though the clearance is like 2 or 3". The side connection is a huge plus. Will update in a few months if any issues arise, but so far so good. Plan on upgrading from the box to a book (screen does not get hot) so I can just close the book if a client stops in unannounced. It's not that I'm not allowed to play on it in my down time, it just looks unprofessional having a 24" 4k monitor with an Overwatch queue on the screen and quickly pressing the power button when someone walks up behind you. Waiting to see if it works with the PS4 although I'll have to figure out what to do about the sound for it. Anyone with ideas, feel free to reply.

I like it except for...
-- FLASHING SCREEN SOLVED -- For what it's worth to anyone with a problematic Waveshare 7"-C HDMI 1024x600 LCD Rev 2.1, mine came in late last night and so, of course, I stayed up to configure and test it out. Life is never so simple. The editing of /boot/config went without a hitch and mine is set (having commented out any overscan and framebuffer entries that I use for other LCDs) with: hdmi_group=2 hdmi_drive=1 hdmi_ignore_edid=0xa5000080 hdmi_mode=87 hdmi_cvt=1024 600 60 6 0 0 0 The screen booted up fine and displayed correctly, but the backlight kept cycling on and off. The cycles might change in duration and spacing depending on how I was fiddling with it and I soon discovered that if I held it with my finger in a certain place on the back that the screen would stay on indefinitely. Upon VERY close inspection with a loupe and strong light I realized that the 103 resister nearest the upper-right corner (when looking at the back of the LCD board) had a micro fracture in it. To be more clear, the resister that's at the far edge from the HDMI and USB connectors and at about the same level. It looks like a pull-down connected to the ground plane and was probably cracked as it was placed and soldered. I couldn't quickly dredge up a 103 but I did find some 104's on a defunct CO2 detector/alarm, so I parallel soldered one of those to the 103. (If you can't solder micro parts then get some help.) Going on a day now and the screen has been working beautifully and consistently, and hopefully we will all live happily ever after. The end PS. I initially skyped Waveshare but they're on China time and I'm not, ... I honestly didn't have the time window to properly settle this problem with Waveshare or AMAZON and that's why I tried fixing it rather than return it. The display was obviously not QC'd before shipping, however I DO like it now that it's working despite my lost time and effort. In researching this problem I came across many other buyers on the RPi forums with the exact same symptoms so mine is not an isolated issue. I would have given it 5 stars if it had worked outright, and only 1 star if I hadn't fixed it, so be forewarned if you buy one. And Waveshare really needs to step up their QA game. Screen Burn in image <10 minute use on 7 inch (c)
I highly recommend avoiding the 7 inch (c) display. I ordered this one because the capacitive screens are easier to use for selecting items on the screen. If I had bought the resistive type, I need to press a little harder. I actually own 5 inch resistive so I know the difference. This display was going to be used for my Raspberry Pi 3 B+, but I have to put that on hold again. I'm just not satisfied with this product. The reason is the image burn. Depending on which screen I left on the longest, a faint image of that will stay on there. I even tried to leave it off for 6 hours and the image is still burned into the display. A top reviewer posted a custom code to add to the config file for the 7 (c) display; his code didn't work and made the screen flicker. The factory code for the screen works better but won't matter since the display is junk. Please look at my photo, you'll see 3 visible layers of burn.

Five Stars
nice LCD, high resolution, the touch works out of the box under Lubuntu

Instructions should be more clear
I wish there was a better description on what needs to be done in order for this to work on a Raspi. I thought the unit was DOA. It simply needed some config file edits on the pi.

Plug and play! (Assuming you want this kind of bare display)
This does what it says on the tin, and works fine -- plug and play! I didn't even have to calibrate the cursor alignment. I bet you could get even better precision if you did -- not a problem for me, as my fat fingers are much wider than the few pixels the touch sensor may be off.

Nice little screen for my PC
I use this as a Windows PC mini monitor. Works great. Just plug and play and touch works. Note, I use this for monitoring my PC (whether software is running properly, temps, etc...), so I cannot comment on gaming performance. Also, I do not have any experience with mini PC, so I cannot comment on that either.

Bad Burn in after 1 Hour of use
This was an awesome, easy to configure and use touchscreen... for like 1 hour. The display now flickers and has burn-in from another raspberry pi that I used it with. I will be returning this screen. Too expensive to be this cheap.

Superbe

Excellent repeat purchase
These are good screens. There is very little else to say! My first had a frame, but this is really unnecessary for many users. The handy holes in the circuit board make fixing the screen to a light timber background or frame easy, provided you allow a few mm for component clearance at the rear (spacers are provided for this, for example). Use with a Raspberry Pi needs a small tweak to the config file, which is easily done if you follow the Wiki page for the screen at Waveshare's website. Excellent power use; I get minimum 5 hours with Rasbpi 4B and this screen running together.
