intensely bright! used these in my backup lights and my light in back of cab to light up truck bed
These are as bright as I hoped for! Replaced 4 bulbs ( 2 backup bulbs in tail lights and 2 in cab light to light up truck bed ) and I'm very pleased with how bright they are! Between these in my backup lights and my tailgate light bar, it's like daylight behind my truck at night! I don't dare look directly at them as it messes my vision in the dark. Went to a truck pull in Augustand it wasn't over till well after dark, I had went back to my truck during track preparation between pulling classes and when I had unlocked my truck the guy next to me selling shirts made the comment about my lights bring very bright. Told him that was the whole point is so at night I could see what was behind me and that he should be glad that my cab light that lights up my truck bed didn't turn on as well when I unlocked my truck.

Don't waste your money.
Contrary to most of the reviews, the bulbs were a waste of money. I had a burned out third brake light bulb; I bought four of these because I wanted to replace them all with something brighter than the standard 11 watt incandescent bulbs. Not only were they not as bright as the ones I replaced, but they could not even be seen from six feet behind the car.
