Sturdy and comfortable
I work in a warehouse, on my feet on concrete, all day. I have plantar fasciitis. I used to wear Vionic brand shoes exclusively at work. Unfortunately the quality of Vionic shoes has degraded dramatically so I had to find a solution. Some Googlefoo led me to these. Overall I am happy. No more plantar pain. I added a thin liner pad immediately and was able to wear them a full day without problems. However, there are some tradeoffs. These things are HEAVY! I won't win any races wearing them. I feel like like Herman Munster when I walk. I experience foot fatigue after a day at work. There is so much joy in taking them off and sliding into a pair of slippers. With that said. The plantar pain is gone. The boots protect from the problems and pain of walking, stepping repetitively on hard and uneven surfaces. They are also holding up well to the crazy amounts of snow and deep cold we are currently experiencing. I bought a size up so I could wear thick socks which I recommend. They are not slippery when wet, on concrete. Overall I am very pleased. These are very sturdy heavy duty WORK boots. They are not the ugliest foot wear I've ever seen but they are not fashion footwear. They are not supposed to be. They are good quality work boots. They are taking care of my feet, thereby me, and my ability to effectively do my job. That's what is important to me and why I purchased them.

Solid medium duty boots
Great boots have lasted me a 2.2+ years! Pros: *leather hasn’t cracked at all! (Other brands I’ve oiled every 3 months and they still crack, I’ve only oiled these once, when I received them). I’ve noticed wolverine brand has good leather in this regard. * durable- I’m very rough on boots and they have endured. * less fatigue- I’m used to wedge style boots (best anti- fatigue imo) and they are comparable *laces don’t wear out quick- I change my laces a lot (about every 4 months) I got 17 months with my usual laces with these. Cons: *Not grippy- as a painter I don’t need big lugs but still *interior heel glue wore out (pic)- still functions just annoying to slip shoe in (noticed 2 years in) Conclusion: SOLID medium/light duty boot

Comfortable and light
I purchased boots by CAT for working a new job on a receiving dock, but after 8hrs I could barely walk. I thought it was just a matter of getting used to standing all day, but after I replaced those with these, the difference is night and day! These boots are nice and light, and they're holding up pretty well. The only drawbacks I've found is that it's difficult to lace them tight enough to provide ankle support and the steel toe could go a bit further back.

Husband’s go-to work boot
I have bought my husband multiple pairs of these over the years and apparently there is a reason he keeps going back to them. He owns a roofing business and starts every spring with a new pair of these. He says they have little need for break in as they are comfortable right out of the box. The stitching holds up well. They keep his feet dry. His foot is pretty wide and he often has trouble finding comfortable shoes and boots, but these have always worked for him. Compared to other brands, the price on these is very fair.

I can't believe I finally found the correct work boot!
Hello, Ten years ago, I bought a pair of Wolverine leather lace-up work boots. I liked the construction of this boot, mainly the edge of the soles to the leather. The seam looked very durable in comparison to other boots, whereby I could see the glue. Did not trust that seam. Also, I did not want a boot with heavy tread because it would pick up needless mud. So I purchased the Wolverine work boot, and at first, I could not believe how comfortable the boots were no matter if used in summer or winter! And I used these boots in rough conditions, and the comfort remained! Just loved these boots! Well, finally after ten years (not worn every day, but still used a great deal) my boots had needed to be replaced. And so I felt it would be easy to find this exact boot. No way! Turns out, the Wolverine brand makes many many models of work boots (that looked nearly the same, but not the one), but I wanted this exact boot! And the model number (on the flap) was completely worn, so I could not trace the exact boot. I then took a magnifying glass and found enough etching to come up with numbers (a few were wrong, but it was enough). I quickly placed these numbers (online) along with the name Wolverine and the boot came up! I was so excited that Wolverine still made this Raider Durashock work boot. And with the exact durable seam construction!! I ordered, received, and was elated! And, I now have a record of this boot in preparation to replace in another ten years! Will not make this mistake again! Thank heavens!

Hard to break in
Heavy and hard to break in, AI recommended these for beeing soft for a work shoe. After day 2 I could not resist the pain on my feet. I will use them for the weekend range trip or similar activities with less continuous hours of wear and go back to the Sketc... again, wanted to try something different and thought so for the price would be more comfortable at work.

Great boots but I bought the wrong ones no toe cap. Free returns all the way back to America. Excellent seller.
