Is it for cold drinks only or hot as well ?

Don’t buy it! It leaks and the rim rusts after only a few fill ups. Doesn’t keep cold cold or hot hot for very long.

The lid is supposed to be one handed operation but after not opening for a few minutes, it takes two hands to open. Very annoying, is there a fix?

I think it creates a vacuum of sorts, especially when full making it a 50/50 proposition if you need to use one hand or two. I just pull the top up if I need to that's not why I buy them. I love them because even in the Texas heat, I can leave my water full of ice in the car in my garage overnight, and it will still be cold the next day. Careful when they drop off your kitchen counters you'll be replacing the lids which I have ordered off Amazon. I've had maybe fifteen to twenty of these things in the last ten plus year's. I take them everywhere and have lost them everywhere.

What is the difference in color between academy and royal?

This is 24 oz and 11” high. We purchased two because it’s perfect for us to take to the gym. The bottom is 3” and it fits perfectly in our 2016 GMC Truck caddy.
