Works well on my lathe
So far, this VFD is working perfectly with a VEVOR 2-HP 230V three-phase motor (also from Amazon) on my lathe. I have just three minor complaints: - The operating instructions that came with it are for models AT1 to AT4, which are all for 220V or 380V inputs. I received an AT5 (as ordered), which is for 110V single-phase input. So, none of the line connection diagrams in the instructions were correct for the AT5. I'm an electrical engineer, so it was easy for me to figure out the right input connections (actually, they are marked on the terminal block), but I wonder if some of the reviews saying it failed or tripped a breaker on connection could be due to connecting it to 220V single-phase input per the diagrams in the instructions? - It is working fine using the default parameters, but being an engineer, I wondered if I could fine tune it a bit by tweaking them. For example, change the startup time, which seems to be almost instantaneous by default. Alas, although the instructions provide an extensive list of parameters, they do not explain what any of them mean! A few are obvious, but others are not. Searching the web, I could find no explanation for these parameters. For example, what is 1st rising velocity? I don't want to fiddle with them unless I know what they are about, so I'm leaving them alone for now. - When you hit the stop button the motor does stop, but the unit remains live, even if you disconnect it from the mains. If you then press the run button, the motor will spin for a few seconds until it discharges the VFD. If you aren't aware of this behavior, you could be injured by the unexpected motor start or could be shocked by discharge of the still-charged DC section of the VFD. Edit: After some more searching, I managed to find explanations for most of the other parameter settings. I just wasn't creative enough in phrasing my queries the first time.

Junk
I bought this for a project I just finished and unfortunately the return window closed. But I wired it as it should be wired and got absolutely nothing to happen on the screen. The side of it got hot and it started to smoke after about 20 seconds so I have no idea what exactly happened but I would absolutely not recommend this.

Works on 110v outlet, powers my 2hp 220v 3ph grinder motor
I built a 2x48 grinder off youtube and used a 2hp, 3 phase motor, 220v. This vfd was pretty much plug and play, no real programming needed to work with my setup. Would also work with a higher voltage 380v motor, if you change that setting. Even works on my GFCI outlet, perhaps the other reviewer had their outlet or motor wired wrong. Would buy again for projects that use a 2hp or less motor! It cost me just over a hundred on sale, which is a good deal if it keeps working. Physical measurements at the end of the video!

Easy to hook up with a little research
I put this VFD on a 2x72 belt sander. Pushing a 2hp Vevor 3 phase motor. The instructions were actually good if I had known what I was looking at when I opened them up. A quick youtube video showed me I was already on the right track. It was pretty much plug and play for my application but the parameters can be adjusted if needed.

Excellent buy
What as indicated. Great value

Worked very well.
I used this VFD along with a 1 1/2 HP 3 phase motor to power an older wood lathe. Everything went as it should, and this gave the lathe much more flexibility with the slower, adjustable RPM. I was very pleased on how this worked and would recommend this unit to anyone with this type of application.

works fine but TERRIBLE design for electrical connectors
well, NO manual included. Fortunately I've wired a few VFD's before. The problem here is that the mechanical design of the electrical connection posts was very bad. You have to stick a screwdriver in thru a slot to get to the screws. The slot is narrow and the "clamp" does not open enough to make a connection to a #12 stranded wire very easy. Yes, could have used a #14, but that is not what was being used. The screws are very short, so when you try to open the gap enough, the screws come loose and of course then you can't get in there to get them back in. For a job that should have taken 2 minutes, it took me 30. So far it works fine, but definitely a poor design.

Beware.
Typical cheap overseas junk, I ordered in September 4th 2025. I did not get around to installing until the Thanksgiving Holiday. It ran the 1-1/2hp drill press great for about 5-7 minutes and then there was a pop sound and a puff of smoke out the top. Obviously some cheap component inside was defective. Out of date for Amazon return (lessoned learned) no warrenty information in the owners manual. If you go to sellers website it just sends you back to Amazon. I'm out 120 bucks!

Works well!
Very poorly written instructions. They need to hire some decent translators. Once you work a bit of trial and error you will find the unit works well!
