If your PS5 console updates to 22.01-05.10.00, VX2 AimBox won’t support PS5 games any more. But if you use VX2 AimBox and VX Adapter together, you can play all PS5 games and have no need to plug in a controller, so you'll need to also get the VX adapter to play games on the PS 5 with this

Does ut connect different (off brand) controllers to xbox s/x /ps5 /PS4?

I don't think so I think the controller has to be a xbox or Playstation brand controller to work but I could be wrong. Somewhere it did specify that in the product description I thought I read when I bought mine.
